Does anyone have any opinions on flying into Ontario International Airport (ONT) as opposed to LAX? Our preferred airline only offers non-stop flights to LAX, but I've found that another airline is flying non-stop into ONT. I'd love to hear your experiences --- and/or which you'd go with if you had the choice.

Thanks in advance!

It's certainly not as busy or as large as LAX. It is about the same distance from Disneyland. Shuttles are far more expensive from ONT than from LAX, I don't know about rental cars, but I think they cost more too - at LAX and SNA I regularly rent cars for $11/day from Enterprise. I don't mind the size of LAX, I find that some things are convenient - like if you are taking supershuttle or a shuttle to a rental car, they come often and fill up quickly.

Ont is 'small' compared to LAX. Heck,it's even smaller TIA,(not much, mind you). You will not get lost, that's for sure.:thumbsup2

Ontario Airport is a great place to fly into. It takes almost exactly 30 min from the airport to DIsneyland (iIhave timed it). The terminal is only a few years old, (It was over built to accomidate future growth in traffic, and is a breeze to navigate. ALso security checks go fast. I fly out of there quite often for business. In addition, going to Disneyland, you are almost always going opposite of traffic (unless it's first thing in the morning). People say it is the same distance from Disneyland. That may be true mileage wise, but traffic wise it is much closer. I say go Ontario.

:thumbsup2 Love love LOVE ONT. It's the only one we will fly into. We are paying more just to stay away from LAX. :scared:

We have flown into Ontario several times in the past, but on our last trip to Disneyland in October we flew into LAX.

Out of the two, I would choose Ontario way over LAX. Ontario is in a better location for getting to Disneyland, it's new, it's easy to get around, and it's actually clean!

I might choose LAX if:

1. The flight was direct.
2. The flight was cheaper.
3. I was flying in and out on a weekend day.

Other than that, we'll stick with Ontario, John Wayne, or Long Beach.
