So...is there any real benefit to using the My Disney Experience feature on the Disney site? There doesn't appear to be one outright, with the exception of sharing one's information. I've seen a lot of complaints on the boards about it not working properly...so before I invest the time and swearing in setting up the account, I was wondering what other people have experienced. Thanks!

The first time the site really appeared to work for me was like a week before my last trip. Though it was sort of fun to play around with, I didn't see any real benefit for a seasoned traveler. Most of us (who love to do our own trips) like to micro-plan our trips to a 'T' and really wouldn't need/want the services of the site.

I think it would be much better suited for someone whose a first time visitor, or not quite as Disney-obsessed as myself. It has a lot of great information on attractions, dining, etc. but that was all stuff I'd already taken care of by the time the site was up and running for me.

Pros: I can see all of my ADRs and they're accurate. My arrival date is accurate.

Cons: My family members aren't accurately represeneted in my vacation plans (8 year old is listed as adult and my spouse is listed 2x.(i did the math, they didn't double bill on the park hoppers or dining at Cinderall's Table etc).

Had some trouble linking early on as well but I called and a CM took care of it.

Overall the execution hasn't been flawless and it's not as self service as I'm sure WDW hoped or vacation planners would like.

The app seems to work more accurately for me on my iPhone than on my iPad.

I can't get my stuff to link up to the app on my iPhone

Same here. And I'm hesitant to do anything with my reservation through the app for fear that I inadvertantly cancel an ADR or the whole trip. My confidence level in the mobile app is 0%.

I seem to be in the minority but I love the service and the app; I have not had a single problem (knock on wood). Especially as a seasoned traveler, the app on the phone does quite well. Not only does it have all of our reservations but it allows me to put in reservations manually (via the notes). So by date I can put our flight information and conf numbers, the other reservations and plans and it all shows by date.

This way I don't have to re-type all of the reservations into a different system. My husband is linked so that he can view all of the reservations (but not the notes) so he can give his opinion.

I like to make monthly payments on my trip as soon as I book it and for a while I don't think there was a way to make online payments. Finally, I found it but it was much more trouble than it was worth.

I don't think the site is necessarily bad, I just think they're still working through the bugs and such. I'm sure when enough time has gone by it will be great. I'll have to let you all know once I can start booking ADRs in June, lol.

Right now, until they get ALL the bugs out, I feel the MDE website is a hot mess. I can't link my DVC affiliation, have had reservations "disappear" after adding them and numerous other issues. I had to get a replacement AP because the mag strip went bad and there's no way on the new site to update without calling the help desk. Also as far as I can tell, there's no monthly park hours calendar so you have to go day by day to see this info. I'm pretty tech savvy and I've had to call the Help Desk several times to find or do even simple things as it's not very user intuitive.

Its FREE. it keeps track of dinning reservations, gives you park info such as wait times and the return time for FP currently being issued.

PP you can see the monthly park hours. Just click on the icon that looks like a calendar next to month. and a whole month pops up. Use the arrow on the right or left to move to another month. If you want to see tomorrow hour use the arrow to the right of the line that says Today, March 26,2013.

I am really disappointed with it. I am surprised Disney let that one out with all the bugs it has. I lost all my reservation details a day before we were to arrive. It was no where to be found. I had paid for our room in full but it disappeared. Poof gone! Made me extremely nervous. I called Disney and it showed paid but I still just about had a heart attack! As far as using the map and attraction wait times.... It's slow and complicated compared to other "non-Disney" apps. I can see that it could be a great app, when Disney gets it figured out. If you decide to use it, you should keep a backup note or something.

I agree it's buggy. My dvc resort res disappears and reappears. Unable to manually link them. When I tried to check in online, the site crashed when entering my credit card info (for incidentals). Finally checked in w/o adding my credit card. Like seeing my ADRs because I forgot about one. Good idea in theory, if only it worked.

I have not been able to even find out how to pull up my reservations on my android My Disney Experience app. I would definately like to have it for my ADR.

I have an iPhone. And it works great. I just had to figure out how to delete duplicate family entries. Booked everything yesterday. And today all my booking info shows up there. I will use it to make dining reservations. I also linked it with my husband so he can see what's goin on.

Personally I'm frustrated with it. Somehow it has me as an infant (I'm 49) :rotfl2: and therefore it wont let me link my reservation or let me make ADR's on the site. Theres no option to change my bday
