I am new to all of this and I would love opinions on my adrs so far. There will be 5 of us. 3 adults 2 children(girls) 8 and 4.

Chef Mickeys for dinner
Boma for dinner
Rainforest Cafe lunch
Ohana's for breakfast
Le Cellier for dinner
1900 Park Fare for dinner

Do you think I am doing too many at resorts? Will the transportation be hard to get to the resort meals and back? I am staying at POR by the way. All opinions welcome. I need one more adr also. Thanks!

we just got back from POR on the 20th. We only ate at one of your choices and it was Le Cellier....which was my 3rd favorite. Transportation shouldn't be much of a problem...bus to AK then to AKL should take about 30-50 min. the others are even easier to get to.

I think your choices sound real good. I locve to go to the resorts for meals so we can check out the resort for future stays. Just leave plenty of time if you are riding the buses. If you can plan on leaving for a resort meal from a park instead of your hotel, you can get there a lot quicker, since the buses don't travel from resort to resort. Have a great time!!! :goodvibes

We love 'Ohana for breakfast & usually do Chef Mickey's for breakfast - but, this one is very popular with the kids!! :teeth: We also love Boma for breakfast, but are really looking forward to trying it for dinner on our next trip.

The way I usually plan the resort meals is to make sure we are at a park close to that resort. I would eat at 'Ohana, 1900 Park Fare & Chef Mickey's on your MK days, Boma & Rainforest Cafe on your AK day, & Le Cellier on your Epcot day. This will save you a lot of time with transportation if you can plan some of these this way.

Hope this helps!! pluto:

You will need to go to a park, and take the bus or monorail to the resort where you are eating - no transportation from resort to resort. I apologize if you already knew that...

I would personally pick more park restaurants if I didn't have a car to get from resort to resort. I don't like to spend my time trying to get to dinner. You have 3 meals planned at MK resorts, if you plan on being at the MK those 3 days, then no problem. If you eat at Boma, you will have to hop a bus to the AKL, and then bus back to a park and transfer to a POR bus to get back at night. Too much hassle for me, especially with kids in tow.

I've been to Le Cellier, O'hana's and 1900 Park Fare. I don't think you will be disappointed with any of those choices. When we were in WDW this past Sept, we had a lot of resort restaurants booked. Near the end of the week, we were calling Disney Dining, trying to find a reservation for a park restaurant. We were getting so tired of all the travelling back and forth. We ended up having to keep all our original ressies (free dining had the restaurants packed), and it wasn't the most horrible thing in the world, but this year we are def. planning more park meals.

Have a great trip!

I will have my own vehicle. How hard would it be to travel from POR to the resort restaurants using my own vehicle. I thought this would be difficult to do. Sorry I have never done this before. Thanks for the responses!

We did Boma, 'Ohana's, Le Cellier and 1900 Park Fare on our recent trip in December and would highly recommend everyone of them. Boma, 'Ohana's & Le Cellier BTW are our 3 favorite restaurants, right now.

We prefer CP to your choice of CM. This would also eliminate one of your resorts.

Ate at Rainforest Cafe once. We were not impressed.

As far as transportaion goes. Traveling from resort to resort can take a long time. If you can, plan a resort stop in your park schedule. That would make things a little better. What I mean is, for example you go to the MK in the afternoon then go directly to your resort dinner destination and then following dinner go directly to another park. If you must go from resort to resort then use your car. Otherwise always change buses at the nearest open park. This will cut down on your travel time. Do not change at DTD since it is so far from everything.
