Hi Everyone,
Starting the planning all over for our 2007 trip , we stayed at POP last year and this year its gonna be either CSR or I have been looking into the cabins at Ft. Wilderness for me, DH, DS, DM and DD....is there a lot of room and space or will we all feel cramped...any advice would be great, Thanks....

The cabins sleep six and are alot bigger than a normal hotel room. In the bedroom there is a double bed and bunk beds. The living room has a double pull-down Murphy bed. We just had our first stay at the cabins two weeks ago and really enjoyed them. The campground has lots of activities to offer and is a really nice and quiet place to relax.

We also love the general setup of the cabins. It is just three of us (DH, DS10 and I). After a long day at the parks DS watched some TV from the top bunk in the bedroom before going to sleep. DH and I can stay in the separate living room area and enjoy some wine and adult conversation or TV.

Although we loved the Poly during both of our stays, this set up was much better than a regular hotel room with one bedroom.

I also like being able to have simple more healthier meals. We are renting a car this time and heading to the Grocery Store off-property to stock up. Generally we eat much healthier that way than if we go to a restaurant. It is not my desire to do major meals; I am planning to have boboli pizzas, fruit, sandwiches etc.

We stayed at the Cabins back in 5/06. It was Me, DH, DM, and 3 DD ages 14,15,16 We spent 5 nights there. We fit fine. We had huge amounts of fun and we were not crowded at all. I say go for it. And yes not only can your family eat what you are used to, but it sure does save you alot on the vacation budget.

The cabins are our family's favorite place to stay. We are a family of 5 and fit great. One of my favorite perks regarding the kitchen - cook your meals and leave the mess! Housekeeping comes and does all the dishes!!! I love to cook but hate to clean so this setup works prefectly for me.

we just got back and had a great time. It was me and 4 kids 5 thorugh 16. It was necessary to rent a golf cart. The golf cart was lots of fun and well worth it. Plenty of room in the cabins.

Hey, everyone keeps forgetting the great deck to sit out on at night, and listen to the peacocks. Oops, never mind, they're gone.

We stayed in a cabin last month. Loved the kitchen, the space, and the entire campground. We did not have a golf cart and did just fine, we walked to the bus stop and rode the buses anywhere we wanted to go. They were never crowded. We did laundry one day at a comfort station. The only problem was just having one bathroom, but we survived. We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Just got back from spending last week in the cabins. We had 5 (three 5 yo, DW and I) and found there was plenty of space. After the first day my wife said that she was spoiled and would never want to stay at another place because she loved having the additional room. We never felt cramped at all and having the kitchen allowed us to easily prepare a good breakfast (at a great budget saving cost) that we knew the kids would eat. We also had a few dinners in the cabin as well.

One thing I really noticed was how quiet it was at FW. Not having families making noise in the morning as they headed out of their hotel rooms around you was wonderful. Kids slept better having a room to themselves and gave DW and I a few minutes to wind down and prepare our plan for the next day before going to bed.

I rate the cabins as a definite A!
