Hi,

We are going to WDW in August and are thinking about staying at the Doubletree Guest Suites on Hotel Plaza Boulevard. Has anyone stayed there recently??? We will be renting a car, so transportation is not an issue.

Posting to subscribe as we are looking into this for our Sept trip.

Also want to add this question: Besides the Mousavers discount are there any other promos, discounts or specials that may run for this resort for a Sept vacation?

Our rate is $79 per night including breakfast. If you are a hilton honors member you could use points. Also, if you have an American Express card you can exchange Amex points for Hilton honors.

If you don't mind my asking, where did you find the $79 rate? (Mousavers is $99 for Sept. ) The breakfast that is included is that the continental or buffet?

We got it through the Mousesavers link. We are going Aug. 14-21. I think the breakfast is in the restaurant. I hope it is just a continental. I do not like having to wait for a server bring juice, coffee, etc. My husband said that if it is like the Hampton Inn's he uses when he travels, that the breakfast will most likely be from the buffet in the dining room. I am concerned that rooms will not be that nice, however I heard that they recently replaced all the beds and tables & chairs in the rooms. Where else are you looking at staying in September??

Ugh..that's the question of the day! I've been online literally all day looking. It's difficult bc. we have 4 kids so are choices are limited to a suite that sleeps 6 or getting two connecting rooms.
So far we've narrowed it down to either a Disney Value Resort (2 rms.) or the Doubletree.

Are you getting the one or two double bed suite? If so, maybe that's why your rate is $79. The 2 bed suites are $99 w/ free cont brkfst. through mousesavers.

We only want the cont. brkfst too......can't eat too much when I'm excited about going to WDW!
