This is our first onsite visit and we were thinking about CS. Please let me know what ya'll think of it. Is there a kiddie pool?
Thanks

We love Coronado Springs!! The whole resort is just beautiful, the pool and slide are great, and yes they have a neat kiddie pool with 2 giant tropical fish in it. We've stayed in the cabanas, but in June are trying out the ranchos. Pepper Market has a lot of variety and the food is very good. The resort at night is wonderful. Take a surrey bike around the lake and see all the different areas. You can get to other parts of the resort with the bus system if you don't feel like a walk....Hope this is helpful!!

:D

I loved the CSR when I stayed there in 2002. I stayed in the Ranchos section. I think it's the best themed section of the three. It's the farthest from El Centro but I don't mind the walk, especially in the morning to go get breakfast. The entire resort is beautiful. Very romantic at night to walk around. There is a kiddie pool by the main pool, but I didn't go in it since I don't have kids. The Pepper Market wasn't high on my list because of the system of paying. I wasn't at the resort for any meals except breakfast so it didn't bother me too much. I did have dinner there one night and the cashier gave me a hard time about wanting the 10% gratuity left off of my bill because I got my drink myself. I told her I had waited for almost 10 minutes before I got up to get it myslef. Fortunately, she waived the charge. Other than that I had a great time and I hope you do, too.

Coronado Springs is great!

I don't have any kids, so I can't comment on the kiddie pool area, but the main pool is something else. It's large & there's a nice slide and hottub also. The quiet pools around the property are are quiet & relaxing (and seldom crowded).

I like the laid-back atmosphere of the resort. There are tables outside by the lake where you can eat or just relax. Also, a few hammocks are scattered around the beach area to enjoy. I agree with earlier posters the resort is especially enchanting at night.

There's also a health club, arcade, and boat rental. I didn't try those, but will on a future visit. The food court, in my opinion anyway, is a notch above other resort food courts, in terms of atmosphere & food quality/selection. That automatic tip though is a turn off to many.

Bottom line, you could easily never leave the resort & have a great time.

Fun resort. Can't answer your pool question though. Hope you give it a try:earsboy:

I have stayed at the Coronado several times while there at conferences. It is a great place to stay. We had booked it for our upcoming trip but ended up switching to AKL - it is our kids first Disney trip and they love animals!
CSR is quiet and has a relaxing atmosphere. There's a small beach area with a some hammocks, great play area near the DigSite pool, and the rooms have always met my expectations for a moderate. You really can't go wrong here. The only downside is its lack of Disney theming. Not as lot of "Mickey" things around the resort. Depending on the age of your kids that may or may not be important to you. Have fun! :jester:

Hi RJS :wave2:

We stayed at CSR in 2002. LOVED IT !
I had requested the Casita's section and during the check in process, found out we were in the Ranchos. I politely expressed my dissappointment and the CM immediately did what she could to get me in the Casita section ;-)
I was a happy girl.

Something about it had appealed to me after looking at all the pictures. We were just around the corner from the quiet pool, and partially across the lagoon from the main pool. Even though it was quite a walk to get to it, it was a lovely walk on a paved path with beautiful vegetation.

The food court is fun, but the Maya Grill is excellent!! We are even thinking of making the trek back to CSR just for dinner, even though we are trying out another resort this time.

I hope you enjoy your trip
