Opinions on crowd level- CHOC walk in the park day

can anyone give insight to the crowd size the CHOC walk in the park event will bring to the park? I know it's early in the morning but I'm guessing participants will stay at the park all day. Is this a small 5k or is it huge? It's on Sunday, October 11th.

It's not as big as a runDisney event, but it's still huge. A few years ago they held a Sunday MM between the end of the walk and regular parking opening. Between all of the participants that used that hour to buy their discounted tickets and get in line and the first weekend of Halloween is was wall to wall people in the morning. I didn't stay around to see if it go better in the afternoon.

We've been numerous times over that very weekend (plus a couple days leading up to it) and it is quite busy. Enough so that we switched our annual Oct trip to Aug this year in search of lower crowds . Monday is Columbus Day which was super busy also.

Ok thank you! Not much of a choice since we will be there, but good to know. We won't be arriving to the parks until about 5pm so we will just stay until close and hope that it thins out as it gets later....yikes!
