We are a family of 4, 2 adults & 2 kids (5 & 7), going for 7 nights at the end of April. We will be staying at the Contemporary and will be on the Deluxe DDP... my husband loves good food and we all enjoy nice restaurants. We are usually early eaters at home... small breakfast, if at all, lunch at 11am and dinner at 5pm. We are not doing Epcot on this trip.

Arrival day -
5:30pm dinner at The Wave (1 credit)

AK day -
11:00am lunch at Yak & Yeti (1 credit)
6:00pm dinner at Jiko (2 credits)

MK day 1 -
8:30am breakfast at CRT (2 credits)
6:00pm dinner at California Grill (2 credits)

MK day 2 -
5:00pm dinner at Chef Mickey's (1 credit)

DTD day -
late breakfast or early lunch - not sure where yet - any recs??
6:00pm dinner at Artist Point (2 credits)

DHS day -
11:00am lunch at Hollywood & Vine (1 credit)
4:35pm dinner at Brown Derby (2 credits) Fantasmic package

Free day -
no ADRs - we'll decide while we're there which, if any, park we want to go back to and/or what restaurants we want to try this day

Departure day -
9:30am breakfast at Chef Mickey's (1 credit)

So we have reserved 15 of 21 meal credits so far, plus we'll have 14 snack credits each to fill in the gaps. Does that all sound/look okay?

You can also just do some counter services as well? I like counter service on the trip too. I like snacks though too! LOL!

They all look great but I would scratch dinner at CM and H&V...the food at both places was just terrible

I have eaten almost every place on your list and i think it's def pretty good. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! Here are my thoughts and suggestions-

On DHS day- are your kids into little einsteins or are they a little past that age? If they're NOT into it, I think that the characters are the ONLY reason to go to H&V for lunch. If u want characters it's great- but just for the food- not so much. I would go to sci-fi or 50s prime time instead- but that's just me.

I also woudl not do chef mickey's twice- but i understand it's at your hotel and convenient. I would def consider doing another meal on the monorail- either 1900 park fare or Ohana (woudl be my first choice). Ohana is great for bfast and has the characters. I would swap this for the chef mickey's breakfast if possible.

Also if you go back to AK on that last day- I love the charcter bfast at tusker house.

But I love Y&Y, Jiko, CG, and Brown Derby. Can't go wrong w/ most of the nicer restaurants :-)

Have a great trip!!! Yum!

Of the ones we've done, they sound great. However, I agree with Mickey/Nicki--Hollywood & Vine is terrible. We gave it two tries and you could not pay us to go back.

Great choices:)
However, as KatMark and MickeyNikki said, Hollywood And Vine's food was just terrible. We will not return.

Hmmm, the Hollywood & Vine lunch does have me a bit concerned. My youngest just turned 5 and has always been a fan of the Little Einsteins. That's why I booked this.

Would switching it to a late breakfast be any better? I read that breakfast was better than lunch, but I am concerned that a late breakfast (10:30-ish) may not have fresh foods... for lunch we are the earliest time, so I had hoped that the food would at least be hot and fresh even if not the best meal overall.

Both Hollywood & Vine and Chef Mickey's dinner are more for the characters than the food. I am hoping that the food is at least decent though.
