DH and I are going for 5 nights in November (week before Thanksgiving). We are staying at YC and it looks like we will not be using the dining plan (not 100% sure yet - we have no expiration passes so it seems like a waste to buy passes if we already have them). We will be going to Universal one day (most likely day 2). Breakfast most days will be picking up at park or the Marketplace. We will also stop at grocery store day we go to Universal to pick up food/drinks. Also some lunches may be cancelled to do quick service meals. We are not interested in huge meals (we did deluxe dining last year).

Day 1 (arrive at noon and take ME): Wednesday
Lunch probably at Marketplace or Beaches and Cream or go right to MK.
Dinner: Teppan Edo

Day 2: (may go to Universal Studio - Most likely this day) Thursday

Breakfast: Captain's Grill
Lunch: The Plaza
Dinner: Captain's Grill

Day 3: (May go to Universal) Friday

Lunch: 50s Prime Time
Dinner: Whispering Canyon Cafe

Day 4: Saturday (Looking at AK)

Lunch: Fultons (I want Stone Crab one day - Considering making this a dinner but my dad may want to see us for lunch)
Dinner: Nine Dragons

Day 5: Sunday (Evening Hours at MK - Will probably do in am and then return after dinner)

Lunch: Tonys Town Square
Dinner: Cape May Cafe

Day 6: Monday: (DHS)

Lunch: Sci Fi Drive In

Leave around 3 pm for airport using ME. Flight is 6 pm.

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Because it looks like you will be eating at several TS restaurants, I would really consider doing the basic dining plan (not quick service). That way you can still eat at 2 TS restaurants on some days and none (US days) on others. And I am pretty sure that you do not need to buy park tickets in order to do the dining plan. As long as you are staying on property, you can get the dining plan. when you go to US try eating at Margaritaville. It was awesome!!!

No comment on your WDW ADRs but if going to Universal check out Emeril's:thumbsup2 I believe it is open for both lunch and dinner. We had a great dinner:yay:

Thanks for the info on Universal. I haven't really looked at that yet. I am more concerned with getting Disney down first. I have made a number of changes to what I posted. Now I have three reservations in a short time that are almost identical types of food (Asian, hibachi and Chinese) that need to be addressed.

We have been to the Margaritaville at Grand Turk and love it.

I will definitely be doing my Universal reserach soon. We leave three months from today. It has been at least five years since we have been there.

Bluemoon I believe that you need to buy at least one day's park passes in order to add the dining plan. DVC members don't have to buy a park pass to add it. I am trying to write down the "average cost" of each meal to see how it compares to the dining plan. It costs an additional $590 to add the dining plan and a one day park ticket. The cost of the tickets are $168.

Thanks for your help.
