Opinions needed - Nov. trip

we had been planning on going to see WWoHP at the beginning of Nov. but now the cheer squad my DDs are in have decided to do a competition on Nov. 7th

Here's where I need help - my Dad lives near St. Pete - so to kill two birds with one stone we're thinking of going during the holidays, please give me your opinions on the two choices:

1. Thanksgiving week - going down on Sat or Sun before Thanksgiving and spending a couple of days at US/IOA (probably Mon-Wed), then going to the west coast to spend the holiday with Dad.

2. Christmas - going down the Sat/Sun before Christmas and going to US/IOA on Mon-Wed and then onto Dad's


Which would be better as far as crowds? We would stay at RPR but I'm still trying to decide whether the WWoPH package would be worth it since we would have to stay at the hotel 4 nights.

Any and all opinions are appreciated. This is not our first time at US/IOA and we're a family of thrill-ride fanatics

Historically...both of those weeks are fairly slow so you should be good for either week...just stay away from holiday weekends and the week between Christmas and New Years.

The unknown factor this year is obviously Harry Potter and what types of crowds it brings in. We'll know more later in the year.
