Opinions-If you were staying at AKL, would you pick BOMA for your arrival dinner?

I would say Boma the first night too. We did that on our last family trip. It's a nice way to kick off your vacation.

Boma is my new favorite place to eat. I would definitely eat there on arrival if I were staying at AKL.

Boma is our favorite WDW buffet--breakfast and dinner. You should most definitely switch your reservations to Boma for your arrival day dinner.

We arrive at the AKV on the 6th of April and that is our "arrival dinner". It will be a smart decision to switch. You can take your time and not have to worry about travel!

We are currently booked at Chef Mickey's for our arrival night but since we are booked at AKL, I was thinking of possibly switching to BOMA and enjoying the resort on our 1st night and relax for our big 1st day at the MK the next day. What do you all think? Not sure after having a 12 hr. plus drive, that we really want all the commotion of Chef Mickey's and having someplace more relaxed would be better for us. What do you all think? THANKS

I think this is a brilliant move. Boma is wonderful and has a more relaxed atmosphere.

I think you have the most perfect and practical idea with doing Boma for your first night meal-especially because this is your home resort.

We stayed at AKL and we had ADR's for Boma for our "early night in" night-we like to do this halfway through our trip to rest our bodies and minds for one night. The resort in itself is so relaxing, yet entertaining. The theming is soft and really helps you wind down. The grounds are beautiful and the night vision goggles they give you to see the animals at night is so much fun!

Boma is a fantastic buffet-IMHO the best at WDW. The theming of this restaurant is so relaxing. There are so many items to choose from, it's amazing! and the dessert selection-oh my goodness!!

My advice to you to get the most out of your experience-eat very light that day because you will likely want to eat a ton at Boma!! Relax in the lobby-there's a tv to watch cartoons. Explore the resort and rest up for your big next day!!

I think you are smart! We plan to do this very same thing in December. We will arrive and just relax our first day, having dinner at Boma that night!
