OpenVMK no more?

I guess Disney did have a say in OpenVmk as it is not available any more.
is this what happened? i just tried to go into the game and it gave me the black screen that says that it has reached the end of the public remake of the game blah de dah.

Disney had nothing to do with it, it was an internal power struggle. For more info see pages 5 and 6 of this thread: Open VMK?!.
