Opening Page

I love this castle photo! It's one of my new favorites!

Awwww, thanks!!!! I used Picasa to turn it into a black & white photo with just bit of colour left. I love Picasa, it's a free software from Google that lets you play w/ your photos.

Here are the two Disney ones I have so far that I can share.

This one was virtually identical for both kids' books, so here is one....

I did sort of "opposites" for the kids' books this time... so here is both of them....

Wish I could give full credit for the ideas.... they are modified versions of things I have seen on www.twopeasinabucket.com. I am pleased with the ways all of them turned out. And these are "real" pages, not digital.... everything done with paper, photos, craft knife, etc.................P

How did you get such perfect Mickey cut outs in that size? They are so perfect....:worship:

We bought photoshop almost a year ago to play with photos but our computer is so old and it is so slow that I just don't have the patience. When we get a new computer I'll have to try Picasa, or maybe it would work on my slow beast.

This is my current project's title page from our recent Christmas trip. I made it with Creative Memories Storybook Creator Plus:

Just trying something different. I usually do a family photo with the dates and resort information.

Thanks!!

The photos are literally just lined up and glued down onto a Mickey cardstock template I made on my Cricut.... but I took a lot of time fixing the line-up so that the best parts of the photos showed. Then I cut the edges down by hand (on the one where the photos are in the Mickey head shape).

The one with the background of photos with the black Mickey head I just laid out the photos and placed the black Mickey head (that I cut out with the Cricut) on top of them.

Much easier to do than to describe!! I've had pretty good luck in the past making Mickey head templates using plates and cups too! If you don't get the sizes right though, it looks wanky.

It was cheap and easy.... I just pulled out extra photos that I had on hand (I always end up ordering more photos than I need), plus black, white, and red cardstock and a white gel pen. I think it is a pretty impressive look, considering it was just "leftovers".

The other "graph" page was done using a tiny mickey head punch, scraps, and the contact sheet that came with my photos when I ordered them... another cheap and easy page! The title is all done in fonts that I downloaded for free and hand colored... and the mickey head under the title is a sticker... probably the only not-free thing on the page!

Thanks for asking........P

Here's my opening page. I'm going to attach the girls' buttons from our trip on it when I get it back from the printers.

And the closing page. We always do sad faces when we leave a trip and head home.

Great layouts everyone. I know I will be scraplifting! :goodvibes Pixieflip, I love your digital layout. That looks terrific.

For the first page, I've done a calendar with various pictures on it or cut out mickey tickets with my cricut.

For the last picture, I general take a picture of DD sleeping in a chair, or on the plane.

Thanks!!

Is the Mickey Head on the cricut done with a Cart or SCAL? I am hoping to get a Cricut for my anniversary or Christmas (My husband loves to spoil me and he is super happy I am into scrapping) and I have been thinking about SCAL....

If it's a cart, whish cart is it? Did you need the Expression to cut this large?

Thanks a million. I really like all that you did and I am going to scraplift it if that's ok. Amazing work.

Hi Sam - the Mickey head is done with the Mickey Font cartridge. Super easy to do.

Thank you thank you thank you.....I can't wait to get my cricut....either for my anniversary or Christmas...I want one so bad.
