Opening coverage of Shanghai Disneyland

Grand opening happened yesterday. The stuff on the Disney channel today should be pre-recorded.

I watched the opening gala and dedication ceremony live online yesterday.

I agree with the commentating, but it was nice to watch the opening. I do wish they had given a tour of the resorts and park along with the ceremony. I was hoping that would have been included, so I was disappointed.

I've posted plenty of articles showcasing the park and resorts in this thread.

I've looked through some of the articles. I was hoping for more of a "walking tour". There is a possibility in the future my DH can get an international assignment in the Pudong area, which would put us there for 2 years, so I'm extremely interested!

I would enjoy it SO much more if they did not have the HIGHLY annoying narrator. "Now it's a pumpkin!" Really? Because I couldn't tell what that big, orange, pumpkin-like object was.

Lucky you! You didn't have to endure this annoying prattle!!!

Our recording from yesterday didn't happen, so we just watched it tonight. That narrator pretty much ruined it. She needs to take a cue from the olympic opening ceremony people. Her tone was so condescending, like we couldn't figure out what things were because the park's in China:confused3 I would have preferred to watch it live without her:(

Thanks for sharing. It looks incredible! The pirate area looks awesome. Is the futuristic in the dark roller coaster Space Mountain? I did notice the crocodile in the clip and it did remind me of the tragedy. I'm wondering if the video may be changed in the future. Besides that it looked amazing. I loved the behind the scenes footage.
The coaster is Tron light cycles
