Afternoon all...

I've been away from the boards for a bit, busy with work and as a result, a complete lack of social life!!! :surfweb:

Anyhoo, I'm doing a project for my part-time Economics course (o the joy), and thought i'd ask if anyone here would like to offer some thoughts....

My question is this:

*clears throat*

What products and/or services would you like to buy online, but you can't because they're not available.......?

All thoughts appreciated, and of course any answers used in the report remain anonymous....

TIA

Barry :wizard:

Hmmm I can't think of anything that I have needed that is not available on-line :)

That is tricky. I can't think of anything at the moment.

Nice to see a fellow economist. :) I hope to go to Essex Uni to study the subject. :woohoo:

Anyway, I don't think that there are many things that you can't buy online. It seems that most companies have things here there and everywhere. You can buy a mixture of houses, shopping, holidays etc..

I suppose that there are things that haven't made it online yet. Many stores have local food in their shops which don't appear online (E.g. Tesco could sell Essex Potatoes in one particular outlet here but not in all of them; OK, Don't know an ACTUAL example but I think I have seen it before.) This is mostly due to the transport costs invovled I think; you can't get Potatoes from here to Glasgow very cheaply but you can ship things like Game systems to every port of call from here to Edinbourgh...

Hope that helps, normally my not backed up waffles tend to pay off.. ;)

I can't think of anything, I buy everything online.

Ok I know it hasn't been invented yet but -

A star trek replicator - no more planning what to cook, cooking it or washing up after it!

I'd buy one!

Sent through the post.. Umm yum. :)

Just had another brainwave; I don't think they have organs online (not the musical kind!!)

Hmmm, i'm sure there's at least 1 documentry a year on this, where a third world country sells spleens for cash online.
