Open houses

Can you visit the DVC open houses at any resort? The website mentions that if you are driving or staying elsewhere to call first. I’m not sure if I’m misreading this or if it is correct? I was kind of hoping to spend a day resort hopping and checking out the different rooms. We have a two day park ticket for our next short stay but I was thinking about saving them and doing a resort only trip.

Also, I was wondering if any of the rooms available for viewing are “must-dos”?

Yes, you can visit any of them. They require you to make a reservation for RIV. We visited a few but got to the resorts by Disney and not car.

When we were staying there in Feb we just walked up the the dvc peeps and boom - 5 mins later off we went on a tour. We also visited BLT, Poly and VGF and went to the DVC desk and boom - tour. Loved seeing the Bungalows at Poly! And well the 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom at Grand Flo have us wanting to add points someday. Love our home resorts (Riviera and VGC) too of course. I’m hoping when we are back in July we can tour a few more places - would really like to see a Cascade Cabin. . Have fun!

Haha! That’s my worry, that once we tour some of these places we will want to add more points. I would love to see the bungalows and a cabin but I’m not sure if that is just a cruel thing to do to myself .

Tee hee. Alas we can't afford any more points for a while - all tapped out. But... goals!
