Oops, We Forgot to Leave Our Weather at Home! A Fantastic Festival of the Arts 2025 TR! (Updated 6/1!!)

So happy to hear that your mom doesn't need surgery!!! Love the YC curtains and I must get a picture of my dog Disneyfied -- so cute! Argh, I'm so sorry to hear Flying Fish wasn't up to par that night. It's one of my favorites as well. What a disappointment. That picture of Pluto (he's my fave) is adorable. I wish all resorts had the kiosk to order the artwork like Riviera does.
Me too! What a relief, especially with the heat there of late, not being able to swim would have been awful! Aren't the Disney pets so cute? I've been having way too much fun playing around with the AI!

Yeah, I'm sad Flying Fish wasn't so great this last time. We'll try again, but my mom has said if it's bad again she won't give it another shot! Hopefully it's good next time we go!

I totally forgot Riviera has that art kiosk thing to order the art, that seems like it would be such a money maker at all the resorts, I'm shocked they haven't added it!

Flying Fish is always a must for our trips. We love Izi the Waiter. We first met him when he was working at Artist Point. Then during Covid he moved to the Flying fish. He always makes our trip special. The last 2 times we were there (the last one in Jan) he comes in but then ends up going home. Back in January they put us in the back room at the back of the restaurant. One would think that would be great, but it wasn't. It was very loud and the tables too close to each other. The food was sub par. Not like the quality we were used to. The waitress was not very attentive to us, but she was to the larger parties. We are heading down next week, and sadly we are skipping Flying fish
Yeah, it has become a regular for our trips as well. It's funny, when we had the not so great meal it was also in January, I wonder if it was something they had recently changed? We'll give it another shot at some point, hopefully they turn things around!

Hello everyone, just popping in with a real quick update! So I was just going through MDE to get a screenshot of the countdown, and I noticed that I have been upgraded for my stay at Coronado!!!! :cool1: I had booked just a regular tower resort view club level room, but my reservation has changed to be a tower deluxe suite club level room! I'm in shock, what an amazing surprise! It's only for one night, so probably why I got upgraded, but I'm still so excited. What a fantastic birthday present from Disney! :rotfl:

Hi, it's me again, with yet another update.

So I almost did something really really stupid. Well, I actually did do something stupid, BUT I fixed it! So earlier this week I booked our LLMP and LLSP for our trip, but of course I had to do it on a day I had to go into the office, and to make it into the office on time I need to leave at 7am at the latest. So I was rushing through that morning to get everything booked, and was pretty impressed I got everything we wanted and at the times we wanted, and did it in like 2 minutes so I could hopefully sneak into work before anyone noticed I was missing.

Well, it turns out that I actually didn't get everything we wanted because stupid me forgot to book our LLSP at our second park of the day!!!!! Yup, I was in such a rush to get to work, I totally forgot we were park hopping. Yikes, what a rookie mistake!

Thankfully as I was just getting started on cooking my dinner tonight it suddenly hit me that I never booked LLSP for Guardians AT ALL for our trip, and I panicked. Like how could I forget my favorite ride?!?! Seriously, going into the office makes me dumb. :rotfl: Fortunately, I was able to just now book Guardians, and only 5 minutes after the times we wanted, so in the end it worked out fine. Phew! Thankfully I remembered now and not when we got there!

Hopefully I'll remember this for future trips so I don't forget every again! ::yes::

SOO maany exciting updates but I have like 30s to post and just have to say re your upcoming Guardians....

You will get the song (I can't name it dues to the universal jinx laws that even as a scientist I must abide by). You know which one 😎 . This is it.

Ah, yes, the song that shall not be named that seems to break all laws of statistics. I have a good feeling that it'll finally be played this trip!

Day 6, Part 1: See Ya Real Soon!

We got up around 7 this morning and took our time getting ready. We had early afternoon flights so weren’t in a huge rush, plus we were flying out of terminal C, so didn’t have to worry about the madness that is terminal A and B.

Around 9:30 we got an Uber and by around 10 we were pulling into the airport.

It was a bit more crowded than we’re used to seeing at that terminal, but still nothing compared to A and B! Once there, we got our bag tags printed out and got in line to drop them off. The line was long, but moved super fast, and within about 5 minutes we were dropping off our bags.

We then made our way over to security where per usual there was hardly any line. I really love terminal C!

We quickly made our way through the pre-check line and then went to find my mom’s gate. Her flight was schedule to be at like 12:15, but mine wasn’t until almost 3, so I figured I’d wait with her at her gate, then when she left, I’d go grab lunch at WBG while waiting for my flight.

We found my mom’s gate, and of course it was the furthest one out! This was actually nice though since we could watch the planes landing since the big windows at the end there looked out onto the runway. I got this fun picture of this plane in each pane of glass as it was landing. Super fancy, I know. ::yes::

It was only about 10:20 at this point, so we had a ton of time, so we spent some time going through each other’s pictures and just chatting about the trip and what things we would do different next time.

We were having a nice relaxing time until all of a sudden my mom gets a text message from Jetblue – her flight is delayed. Oh no! Well, actually, I may have been quietly celebrating, now I didn’t have to hang out in the airport by myself for 3 hours waiting for my flight. Her flight ended up being delayed til about 5 minutes after my flight, which worked well for me! My mom wasn’t quite as happy. Oops!

Now that we both had an abundance of time before our flights we decided to hang out where we were watching planes land until about 11:20 and then head over to get lunch.

Close to 11:30 we made our way back over to the central area where WBG is and grabbed some seats. Here we each only ordered one of the small plates each and a glass of wine. I ended up getting the meatballs and mom got the caprese salad. We each also got a glass of wine, I got a white and my mom got a red.

Just like the WBG in Disney Springs, the food here was really good!

We had a nice leisurely lunch, great way to pass the time until our flights!

My flight ended up changing gates like three times while eating, so I’m glad we weren’t waiting at the gate for that one!

Both my flight and my moms ended up boarding around the same time, so I dropped my mom off at her gate, we hugged goodbye, and then I made my way over to my gate which boarded shortly afterwards.

The flight was uneventful, and bonus, we flew in from the south so I could see my city and my house as we were landing!

Got a pretty cool view of my neighborhood here! (sorry for the glare and fingerprints on the window, that window was dirty!)

Since I didn’t check a bag, it was a quick escape from the airport. I called for an Uber, and about 10 minutes later it arrived. Normally at this point the excitement of the trip is over, I do only live about 3 miles from the airport so it’s a quick trip home. But not this time! While waiting at a traffic light to leave the airport, my Uber driver completely fell asleep! OMG, what the actual!?!?!?

At first, I was afraid he had some medical emergency and my lifeguard training kicked in, but nope, apparently he hadn’t slept the previous night and was super tired. Yeah, that’s scary. Fortunately, at that point we were maybe 5 minutes from my house, so it was a quick drive before I could get out of that car! Yikes, scary!

I know I say this way too often, but I love how close I live to the airport! Yes, there are times, like when planes take off right over my house at 1am that I’m not such a fan, but for traveling, being so close is amazing.

Overall, it was a great trip, even with the horrendous weather! Farts has definitely become my favorite festival, I cannot wait to go again! I’m debating a quick trip next year, but we have some really big trips already planned for next year and I don’t think my wallet can handle even a small trip at this point. Oh well, I can’t complain, going to Disney multiple times a year still feels like a dream! And who knows, maybe I’ll win the lottery one of these days so can afford another trip!

Hope you all enjoyed this TR, stay tuned for the Birthday extravaganza TR soon!

What a great trip report!

I feel like Jet Blue always gets delayed for some reason, but I do love flying out of Terminal C!

I have always wondered if that WBG is as good as the real one in DS...I might have to try it sometime.

I cannot believe the Uber driver fell asleep...that's super scary!

This past year was our first time at F-Arts and we loved it too. We are planning to make it a yearly trip now and already have BCV booked for 1/27-2/1/2026 :cool1:

Thanks for sharing your trip with us!

We had a delayed flight with several fate changes. We eventually decided to stay where we were until boarding was called. It was crazy.

At least he wasn't driving when he fell asleep!

I hope you find a way to get back to FARTS. It is the lowest room rates of the year - usually. :)
