Oops, forgot to ask about a discount! Now what?

Ok, so I thought I'd researched this trip inside and out and then I did the dumbest thing...I was so bummed about not being able to book a suite anywhere that I completely forgot to ask if there were any Disney special rates (I think I read to ask about that in the Unofficial Guide) or AAA discounts for my rooms.

I had decided to stay in a suite at the Poly, but they're all booked so I went w/2 rooms at AKL, b/c the rooms were cheaper than the Poly, but now I'm thinking maybe we could do the Poly if we got a discount and if not I'd like to see if my rooms at the AKL could be discounted...

So, what do I do, can I call back and ask now about rooms I've already booked or are they not allowed to discount something I've already booked? Will they be willing to check into discounts at the Poly for me as well, so that I can compare?

Thanks for any info you can share...

Hi!

Call back and ask! Disney isn't going to offer special rates, you have to ask for them.

If you have a package and it is fully paid under 45 days, then you can be assessed a change fee. No problem at all for room-only, though (and there is never a guarantee they will have a discount, but definitely see!)

I would definitely call back. I heard about a special offer after I had booked our June, 2007 vacation and had made several payments on it. I called Disney reservations, told them about the special offer and they adjusted my reservations. I saved hundreds of dollars!
