Oop. Threw away my husbands paycheck.

I realized later what I did and got it out of the trash can. Has a little yogurt on it but no worse for wear.

I never see his paycheck because it's not usually mailed to the house but since he's away for a few weeks they are sending it here. It's one of those tear here, tear there, open this, rip that kind. I must have gathered it in with the junk mail after going through it. I hate not having direct deposit anymore!

His old job had direct deposit but not his new one. Since he usually gets the paychecks at our Florida home I never see them here where I'm living. (We are in the process of a move).

when i read the title of this thread, i had to laugh - my DH did just that recently: threw out his paycheck by mistake - it can happen....

I have done this. He gets his checks on Friday evening or Saturday morning; I put it with all the bills and then sit down on Saturday or Sunday to pay them, after writing checks or paying online, gather everything up and put away or throw away--check gets in the wrong pile!

First time, I happened to finish paying bills earlier than usual and he happened to take out the garbage sooner than usual AND took the big can to the end of the driveway for pick up way sooner than usual. I am sure we looked a sight standing on the side of the road, climbing to the bottom of our own garbage can (because of course THAT is were it was!!). That check got deposited in the night deposit drop; I just couldn't see myself having to explain why the paycheck had coffee grounds stuck to it and smelled of Saturday night's Chinese take out !!
