Ooopss!!! Need help!!

I accidentally booked my brother with WDTC, instead of CRO. See, I work for an airline and my reservation for room only is treated like a package ie.. $200 deposit, 45 days cancellation policy, etc. After I booked my room, I asked the CM to make a reservation for my brother which he did and gave me a confirmation number for me to give my brother. My brother called back to give his credit card number and they took the deposit. Well, I just called him up and he told me they did not charge him just the one night, they charged him $200 . We are staying at POR and rack rate should be around $160-$170 tax included. I guessed I messed up and now I have to make it right Ok, so what do I do now..


1. Should he call and have them change the reservation for room only.
2. Should he just call cancel his reservation and make a new one.

I have no idea what to tell him.

Just cancel and start all over again for him.... and make sure they credit his charge card back

Ok, so what number do I tell him to call to cancel and make the new reservation. I used an 800 before to make the original reservation. The funny thing is that he has no idea that he doesn't have the "ideal" reservation. He knows I'm the Disney expert and he believes that everything is just perfect



One more question, if he keeps his reservation with WDTC will he receive the luggage tags. I get them on my airline reservation and everybody fights over them. I think my niece would just love those cute tags
