What are your plans, if any?

Last year we were Remy and the Chef. It was awesome. We were all lit up.
Really thinking hard about what to do this year.

Based on the 2022 OBB ticket thread response.... mine will involve Churros. somehow.
"What If..." Oogie Boogie resided in a churro bakery instead of a casino? What would his minions/decor looked like instead? Would there be walking undead churros of the underworld? Would the churros just run around like little compysauri, impishly nipping at the ankles and tangling up in one's hair? These are the questions that percolate during my day, and why I'm a really strange Tigger-ette. ;) hehehe.

We are doing coco inspired Day of the dead costume.

A couple of reasons for this:
Easy to fly international with these costumes as just like clothes
Husband is happy to wear
Family can go as a theme.
Will get face temp face tattoos.
Not hot costumes.

Below are phots of my daughters outfit and mine, the skull material is to add to husband costume.

It took us a while to decide but I think we are doing Toothless, Astrid and Hiccup from how to train your dragon. My son saw this toothless costume and fell in love.
Love it! My middle DD went as Toothless back in 2015 when she went with my in-laws. FIL makes a pretty good Viking even without a costume but they found him one anyway and apparently they got TONS of compliments, people stopping them etc.

Love all these costumes!! Are you all playing to make them and share photos on here of the process? I am currently designing the pattern now for the skirt of Astrid which is what made me think of it.

I think I’ve finally decided on going maleficent themed. Although not completely decided yet. My son keeps changing every week. One week it’s Spider-Man the next is buzz and then woody and then captain America so who know. Hubby hasn’t decided either. These are my inspirations. I love the dress more but idk that I wanna deal with a long dress all night. Leaning much more towards the first 3 together.

Hubby and are going to be Ralph and Vanellope. My son will be Linguini with Remy. Daughter is undecided.

Do you have pictures? My son wants to go as Linguini with Remy. I bought him a Remy shoulder plush as a surprise for his birthday.

I was debating on doing Maleficent but I'm afraid I'm not witty enough to interact with her if she calls me out. lol

I'm trying to decide between sweatshirts or tshirts for our costumes. I haven't been during October since 2011, but I remember blazing hot days, with chilly temps and a breeze when the sun started going down. Is that typical? Our party is Oct 23.

We were just talking about this today. I feel like October days are always pretty warm, but the party is from 6-11… I feel like it will cool down in the evening.

Anytime I've been in Anaheim and Orange County it always seems to cool way down at night regardless of the heat during the day. The last time we were at DL was in May and we all wore hoodies as soon as the sun went down.

We find that true that it gets super cold at night, but surprisingly not with the Halloween parties. I think it's because we're running around to all the treat trails, character meets, and only sit and take a break for the parade. By the end of the night, we're still pretty warm.

Those would look amazing together! And the top looks much more comfortable than a dress would be all night.

As Promised... in some thread somewhere that I would have churros. *Said in Emperor Palpatine voice* "I'm afraid the churros will be... quite operational... by the time party friends arrive!"

If anyone is coming tonight for the D23 OBB. I'll be in RayRay Firefly with a SwampParty Parasol. The "churros" and "beignets" (if you squint a certain way) will be on the SwampParty parasol. Thanks all for the enthusiasm on the various threads on D23 and OBB. It's been great!
