Oogie Boogie Bash Parade & Trader Sam’s question

I’m doing the Halloween event with a couple friends who have opted to not do the dessert party during the parade. They’ve all told me I’m more than welcome to break off and do it on my own since there will be times during the trip that each of them want to go their own way for lunch or dinner or something for a couple hours.

I kinda feel bad doing the ~7pm showing and breaking off and meeting back up with them after it. BUT, can I make the 9:30pm one fit when I have Trader Sam’s reservations at 10:55pm?

Trader Sam’s is basically as important to me as being able to sit down and unwind during the parade… I really struggled to get reservations this year and the couple other Trader Sam’s I scored were like 11:30am. I don’t mind some day drinking, but it doesn’t have the same feel as an “end of the day Tiki drink” before I head over the the DLH to fall asleep.

Personally I would feel a bit rushed to make the reservation but you can probably make it. It's up to you to decide what is more important. Also, wouldn't you already be full if you go from the dessert party to Trader Sams??

Trader Sam’s is mainly just for the environment and a cocktail at the end of the night.

Honestly dessert party is mainly to have an actual chair to sit in, but I will enjoy some of the desserts as well.

I know nothing, but I think you wouldn't be rushed. Late parade starts at 10... Let's say the parade takes 45 minutes total. That still leaves 10 minutes to make it to Trader Sam's... Until you consider that reserved Disney restaurants give you a 15 minute grace period after your reservation time, which should afford you at least a 25 minute window after the parade. As long as you make it by 11:10, you should be in there like swimwear. I would think that the resort exit would come in handy.

OBB/CA veterans, please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Be aware that it’s slow going out the front entrance because you’ll be following the parade until it turns by Carthay (and there is quite a crowd following). You might consider going out the PP entrance or the GCH entrance (if it’s still open).

I would be very curious about those two… I actually would be a DLH or Grand guest so I *should* be able to legitimately use those entrances… if they’re open.
