Ontario Heatwave

I've been at WDW since July 4. There's no way that the high temp was only 28 oC on July 5. I'm convinced they're underreporting the temps here. I was in the Magic Kingdom parking lot the other day and it was hotter than I've ever experienced, including heat waves in Toronto or the U.S. Northeast. Although the online websites reported 94 degrees F, a digital thermometer on 192 reported 109 degrees F.

That's funny, because we were at Disney from July 1 - 12, and are now at Vero Beach. The first 5 days were the coolest we have ever experienced at Disney - we've been coming for 10 years each July for 2 weeks, and it was by far the coolest we have ever experienced.

Disney was at least 10 degrees cooler each day than at home. I have the temp on my laptop and compared each day, plus got calls and emails each day from home letting us know just how how it was.

It was way hotter at home than at Disney. The heat didn't start to come in at Disney until around July 6th.

We got great news today...the insurance company (homeowners $16/mth) opted to repair our a/c however because it will take 4 weeks to get the new compressor the subcontractor has offered to replace the unit with a brand new Lennox and we only have to pay $350-ish for a new A-coil in the furnace. That wasn't covered because it was rusted out. I'm thrilled! Plus they think they can get it in by the weekend. Thank-you!!!! :cool1: We've been without air for 10 days and it has been a tough run...

I too hate humidity - I would take last weeks HOT weather any time over todays humid, breath stopping weather.

I like hot but please keep the moisture out of it!

We travelled to Texas and Arizona 2 summers ago and it was 46 degrees most of the days and it was bearable if you kept yourself hydrated and in the shade.

But today it said it was 22 but felt like - ya right, it was awful out today and i live 20 minutes from Lake Huron in the country!

We have an above ground pool (24') and last week it was 93 degrees! It was like swimming in soup.

This week it's been 86 degrees and slowly rising. We're even leaving our solar cover off.
