Hi all,

We are planning on going to WDW for 11 nights in early February 2016 for 11 nights @ OKW. I have a few questions for you kind folks as it will be our 1st trip.

When should we expect prices to go live for Feb 2016?
Is the WDTC the best place to book?
Is there a best time to book? We're coming from Ireland so we'll be direct from Dub-Mco and those flights will come out in March. I'd like to have the hotel pinned down 1st though.
Is OKW a good choice for 2 adults only? (My friend & I celebrating our 30th birthdays?)
Is the offer is similar to what's on for Feb 15 we would have a free $200 giftcard. What are it's limitations? Can we use it on alcohol? Tips?
I think that's all. Thanks in advance, I'm off to study the unofficial guide!

UK site : early 2015 but FD deals and OKW discounts usually go live end april (so end of april/early may 2015)
US site : summer 2015 (FD deal might appear fall 2015)

Direct with the mouse is always best (as far as I'm concerned)

I would wait until the release of the deals end of april (this year they were released on april 24th)
That was 35% off OKW/SSR and Free DDP + $200 gift card.

that's a question of personnal taste.
It's not a bad choice. Is it a good choice ? I don't know, what do you think ? after all you'll be the one vacationning there.

it's anybody's guess. There may or may not be a gift card, as there may or may not be a FD deal at all.

you can use it to pay all over disney property. It's basically like cash. (or rather a prepaid CC)

Thanks for your help. I think we liked the look of OKW but I haven't a clue if it's good in regards to amenities or location. The rooms looked spacious and bright in comparison to the darker wood theming at SSR or PO. Perfect. We'll hold on for April & pray for a look deal.

Whether OKW will suit you depends on what amenities you want from a resort? The biggest complaints about OKW are size and lack of a CS restaurant.

We love OKW but are very self sufficient - have a car and are happy to stick the room fridge with drinks and snacks. We like the laid back home from home feel.

It's not for everyone though.

I think the fresh, spacious look of the rooms is a big draw for us TBH. And it's proximity to DTD aswell. I imagine we will be spending a few evenings there so it's a big plus that it can be accessed by boat too. It was between it and either POFQ or CSR

Be warned the rooms have been refurbished a few years ago but the bathrooms are still original and won't be updated any time soon :goodvibes
