I will be visiting Universal Studios and IOA in a couple of months, last week of September to be more precise, for the third consecutive year. I’ve been having issues with the hp packages and any other package as a matter of fact. First, I all ready have my park tickets ( the 2-park, 7-day unlimited for $99) bought online during January. Here are my questions:

1. I will be staying in Orlando for over a week, but only visiting the parks on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Sept. 23, 24, and 25. Will it be necessary to stay on site; the crowds should have died down for the WWOHP by then, right?

2. Staying onsite (room only since I have my tickets all ready) still grants me early admission and express pass, right? Again, will it be necessary by then? Previous two years every ride barely had any queue during the same time of year.

3. This is my plan. Staying onsite is quite expensive, so I plan staying offsite on Wednesday night, so if I book my room at Loews Royal Pacific Resort from Thursday to Saturday (two nights), I will be able to use express pass and early admission on Thursday early morning, Friday, and even Saturday after checking out of the hotel for all the day, correct? Can I still leave my car parked there? Then, I could stay offsite again on Saturday since my flight leaves on Sunday morning. Sounds good? Is there a better option?

4. Through the universal website the Loews Royal Pacific Resort is 219 a night. Is this the best price I can get?

Thank you all!

Since my trip is in September, I could wait to book the resort. Will onsite prices drop as the WWOHP frenzy dies down or do these hotels keep the same price throughout the year.

Thanks! :)

The crowds are going to be tricky, it is hard to tell right now if they will die down. It seems that things have lessened some already but wait times are still be reported to be pretty high for FJ and to get into the shops, especially Olivanders.

Staying onsite still gets you the Express Pass, right now RRR and FJ do not currently have an open express line. You also get the 1 hour early entry into WWOHP and that is when you would want to take advantage to get into Olivanders and FJ without to long a wait. Your room key is good from opening on the day you check in, you can still do early entry too, to closing on the day you check out.

Your plan sounds pretty good, if you have a car you can still park there through the day on Saturday when you check out.

I would check AAA for room rates, sometimes the savings you can get with them is greater than the cost of the membership for a year. I would recommend booking the room since you pay just the one night deposit and then if the price goes down you can always call back in and get the price reduced prior to check in.

I'm staying at the RPR the same dates as you are looking into. I have and AAA rate of $175.20 per night plus tax, for sept. 23-25 for 3 days of fotl.

Thanks mjohnson96! Your help has been priceless!

Heading to horror nights as well am showers? Wow, that's a 45 bucks difference. I don't think I can join AAA. Don't live in the states, right? :confused3
