I am booked from 6/18 - 6/21 at RPH at US. we are arriving from disney to us on 6/18 so i plan to do the US side. however on 6/19, under the current assumption, I will be able to get into WWOHP at 8 AM. this being said, do people line up EARLIER than this and if so - how early? is7:30line up too late?

By around 7:30 there was definitely a small crowd there. I lined up at 7, and ended up getting first at one of the turnstiles. So you may want to consider lining up pre-7:30. I also think it may be busier as it gets closer to opening..

Thanks. I will plan on earlier. i am usually an early rope droper at disney so earlier is fine by me. If I do this early line up Sat, Sun and monday - do you think i can get all of Potter done in a relatively sane atmosphere? For example i wanted to say on Saturdy - have FJ the top priority, though between DD and I I bet we do it once...(I have a kind of bad back from any big jolting...Never been to US so can't compare it to anything there - isit really rough?0

then assume Sunday we mad dash it to olivanders...shop then, etc.
Think between sat/Sun i can wipe out potter? Thanks!

It's not terribly rough.. but it does shake around a bit.

I am not exactly sure how the crowds will be, but that sounds like a good plan. What I found was when everyone is rushing to FJ in the morning, if you get close to the turnstiles, and get through FJ quickly, the other rides will have almost no wait.

You might be able to get it all done in one day, granted I don't know how crowds will be, in two days you can get everything done :thumbsup2

Also with your unlimited express, the rest of the rides will be nice and nearly-waitless.

Thanks! Sounds like i can knock potter out Saturday and Sunday and ironically enough i can do one more sweep thru on Monday and be back in the room by 11 to check out! so hard to predict i know but i am wondering how potter will affect the OTHER areas of the park? I meansounds like there is only so much room there so the crowds will most likely be at IOA.....

Oh yes, I would assume it will be busier than normal. But for wait times, you don't really need to worry. All the rides in IoA besides Terradactyl Flyers, and HP offer express pass, which your hotel key doubles as. (Also all rides at the studios besides Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit)

oh no express for rip ride rocket??? Ugh. First trip to US - can you tell? i assume the line for that will be ugly when we hit the park at 1 pm that day...ugh..thanks

There is single rider for that. There's a small chance you'd end up together, but it's better than waiting in the regular line. It seems to break down often, unfortunately.

We're staying at RPR in July. Do they still have the hour early admission for on-site guests?

Also I've found single rider can actually take longer than the regular line :thumbsup2

You just have to judge things. Obviously, if the line for regular isn't that long and the single rider line is somewhat long, regular will be faster. I just see if the single rider line is at least at the top of the stairs and that's when I'll wait. Otherwise, I just come back later.

Yes, which is why we'll also be staying onsite in July. Normally nobody takes advantage of early openings because your room key makes wait times minimal no matter when you walk in. This Harry Potter thing changed all of that.
