Only two weeks to go!

My 5 year old won one day tickets to disneyland in a pageant, we are flying out from PA to Cali in two weeks for the National pageant where she will compete as Miss Pennsylvania.

So if you only had ONE DAY and you were 5 years old, what would you make sure to see/do? We are having breakfast with characters at Plaza already have ADR's also dinner at Bayou that night, with a CS lunch somewhere in the park. The only other day we have some free time is Thanksgiving day and only in the evening hours, we are having Thanksgiving dinner at Rainforest Cafe in DTD.

So what would you do and see for sure?

Head to Fantasyland first and go on Peter Pan, Dumbo, Alice and all the rest. My DD 5 loves to visit the Pixie Hallow meet and greet. She isn't as much into the princesses, but if your daughter is then you might want to check out the Princess Fantasy Faire. DD 5 also loves Pirates, Buzz, Pooh, the train and the Tiki Room.

Since you are seeing lots of characters at the breakfast I would just skip Toontown and hit the other areas of the park. I was so cruel. DD didn't even know about Toontown on our first several trips because Mommy was more interested in rides then the characters. She never missed it.

Thanks DL, I will skp toontown since we will meet them already and I'm sure it's packed with kids.

I feel really unprepaired without a guide book of the park, but for one day I didn't want to spend the money on a book! Now I'm thinking maybe I should get one just to have the maps and things in it...ugh I hate to go into something not knowing stuff.

There are tons of guide books at the library. You can at least get a good idea of the lay of the land and it will be free!
