Only one character meal...which one?

Wow, you are going to get lots of different opinions on this one-

We really like Chef Mickey's and Norway, lots of folks don't. I think the food at LTT is AWFUL, many like it. We like Crystal Palace at lunch too.

We have always been impressed with 1900 PF dinner and Garden Grill dinner, although we haven't done either in a while.

Since everything with characters is either buffet or family style (barely a step up in terms of food quality), maybe you should just look at what characters you want to see. It won't be your last meal and who knows, you may like it more than you think.

Enjoy!

We (myself, DH and DD3) are not big eaters and my DD is quite picky. We also dislike eating at buffets. We have decided to do only 1 character meal and see the other characters in the parks by chance and our other meals will be either "good" table service or counter service. So, with a picky 4 year old who has no particular favorite character (except Ariel, and we ARE NOT eating at Norway...bluh) and 2 adults who really, truly dislike buffets...what character meal would you choose? (or should I say, out of all the character meals, which is the least disgusting?)

Well, if Ariel is her favorite, I would do the Princess Storybook (Akershus) in Norway. Ariel is there for lunch and dinner. The food is honestly not that bad. My DD4 is also quite picky and she did just fine. I think she had a hot dog? Anyway, there's a cold buffet and a hot entree. I honestly don't get why people say the food is so horrible here. Granted DH and I are pretty adventurous eaters, but there were certainly options for non-adventurous eaters also.

But my DD's favorite princess is also Ariel, and she LOVED meeting an Ariel "with legs". We had the last lunch seating and the character interaction was absolutely amazing! We had all the princesses to ourselves for almost 20 minutes.

1900 Park Fare is the best buffet we have been to at WDW. We have done breakfast twice and both experiences were superb. It is a lot of fun, great characters but just more sophisticated (for lack of a better word) than the other buffets. Its an easy monorail ride to either MK or Epcot and GF is beautiful. I also suggest Liberty Tree Tavern. It is nice to have the food brought to you to avoid a messy, crazy buffet and also to avoid missing a character while you reload your plate.
