If you had to pick only one character breakfast which would it be? Why?

A friend of mine has asked my opinion and I honestly couldn't answer her! I told her EVERY meal I had at Disney 2 yrs ago when we went was awesome but I don't think I could narrow it down to just one. They have a son that is 12 and a daughter that will turn 9 the week before they go. Mom and daughter LOVE the Princesses and want to do Cindy's but Dad and son are
saying "NOOOO!!! That's girl stuff!" I suggested Chef Mickey's b/c EVERYONE likes Mickey, Minnie & the Gang but would like to get feedback from others that are more experienced in their Disney trips than I am. They are big breakfast people so a big menu is important. She doesn't have internet access so I can't refer her to allears or this site. They are going 6/29-7/4 if that helps any....crowded and HOT!

TIA,
Karen

How about Cape May Cafe? It's lots of fun, and a little lower key than Chef Mickey's (same characters.) I found the food and character experience there to be much better than Donald's.

My picks would be Cape May,Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare. I think they are all excellent, and would choose based on which character experience I wanted.

Our favorite character breakfast is the one at the Crystal Palace. We go there every time we go to WDW!

I'd say that it depends which character they like. My personal fav is CP but, my older DN6 really likes the Lilo & Stitch @ Ohana's (he feel's that the other characters are too babyish).

We like the breakfast at Chef Mickey's. You are right, who doesn't like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy? The atmosphere is wonderful and fun, and the food is good too. We are leaving in 23 days, and have an ADR there the morning after we check in. Can't wait!!!! :bounce:

I agree, Chef Mickey's. The food selection is good and they don't rush you. You do get time with the characters and it is not crowded. Crystal Palace is good but crowded and the characters are different, depending on the age, not every boy loves Pooh and Friends. Everyone loves Mickey.

My husband and I were talking about our favorite one last night...and ours had to be Ohana...the food was great as was the service and that was the place that we got the best character interaction. We also went to CP, CM and CRT and hands down the BEST was Ohana! Good luck trying...all of them are good.

Chef Mickey's had the best character interaction of the 3 character meals we did. They really hammed it up with us, and our only child was my 7 month old nephew. The food was good too. Maybe the mother and daughter could do a princess meal for lunch or something while the father and son do something more to their liking.

We liked both Chef Mickeys and Ohanas. We liked Chef Mickeys more for the food although the characters were great. Ohanas we liked more for the characters. The characters just seemed more at ease at Ohanas. You really can't do bad at either though.

We did the Norway PSB last year just DD and I while the boys grabbed a quick meal elsewhere- they wanted nothing to do with the princesses- plus heck it is cheaper. Also got some Mommy Daughter time that my DD still talks about.(although she doesn't want to see them this year I don't know if that is because she doesn't want to be with me or them lol) So that would be my first choice.
If they want a full on family thing-I would suggest Ohana for Lilo and Stitch(although I have not eaten there- but we are going to this year) Donald's breakfast is also high on our list.
(oh and we are one of those that HATE chef Mickey's- awful food)

What characters is she interested it? (Classic, Princesses, Pooh? - to me sounds like Classic).

Do they want sit down or buffet (lots of food, sounds like buffet might be their best bet - only the princess meals, ohana and garden grill and gullivers aren't buffet)?

Preference for meals? Lunch or dinner might be nice. She specified breakfast, but how about LTT.

You now are narrowed down - Cape May, Chef Mickeys, Donald's all have classic characters for breakfast.

Now, they may choose to decide based on locaiton - Donald's is the only one inside a theme park - so they'd need to do AK. If they are staying in the Epcot area, Cape May might be a better bet than Chef Mickeys (no Mickey at Cape May though), and if they are near the MK, Chef Mickey's may be preferable to Cape May.

(I haven't been to any of these, ours is Ohana and we've done the PSB. But this seems like the logical way to make a recommendation to a stranger).
