I have 1 1/2 days to spend at Universal and was wondering which park should get the half day? We’re planning to purchase express pass for both days but hadn’t planned on getting a park hopper.

What are your dates and how many people in your party? There may be cheaper options than express passes for two days for you.

Have you looked into booking a room in one of the three deluxe hotels for one night? That will give you two days of unlimited express pass at a price that might be considerably cheaper than purchasing two days of express.

Agree with @damo - If you could swing a night at a deluxe you'll get 2 days of unlimited EP!

Otherwise, I'd get EP for one day and then use the 1/2 day to go on attractions with lower wait times or use the single rider line. Fallon and Fast and Furious have virtual lines so you can reserve a spot without EP.

I really appreciate the suggestions but the two of us are pretty locked into our current plans ( we may get comp tickets complete with EP for one of the days). We just need to know how best to spend our time while at the parks. Which park can we get away with spending a half day at?

Honestly, have a look at the park maps in the link above, and see which park has more rides you both would be interested in riding...........what’s good for me and my husband might not be what you and your partner would enjoy........

I couldn’t choose between the two which should be a half day.

It is really a personal decision. Some people like Universal better and spend more time there and some people like IOA better. IOA has more water rides, Universal has more simulators.
