only 99 days to go

Yeah, they are wicked excited:banana:

I'm still a little nervous about flying, but I'll be ok.

I made plans as far as what park I wanted to go to each day but didn't make step by step itineraries. Did you? Like, go to splash mountain first, then proceed to thunder mountain railroad, etc? I want to be somewhat spontaneous. I do know which rides I'll probably need fastpasses for though!

Lynne:)

Have you flown before? I'm not a good flyer so that's why we drive. Thankfully Joe doesn't mind and we have fantastic road trips. We love driving through all the states, especially Tennessee!

Anyway, we certainly know which park we want to go on which day, but no-we don't have a ride-by-ride schedule mapped out. That's too commando for us. You'll probably find posts though that suggest you go to this ride first, followed by that ride, etc. Like for the MK, you'll want to map out your MUST DO rides, do the first on the list, get a fastpass for the second on the list, and then ride the 3rd ride on the list. Hope that makes sense.

Yeah that makes sense! No, I have never flown before. Only my mom and middle daughter have flown before in our family but that was a long, long time ago! My husband, oldest and youngest daughter have never flown either and we are all nervous. I did get a prescription for xanax that the dr. said I could take before boarding to help relieve the nerves. I just hope I don't get too nervous. No matter what though I know I have to board the plane or I'll miss my vacation and I don't want that to happen. We chose flying because it was the quickest and almost cheapest way to go. We would of had less days in Disney if we drove and we were going to take Amtrak but I got concerned about missing connecting trains so we chose a direct flight.

I grew up flying (my dad worked for a major airline). I still get nervous before I fly. Just make sure to take the Xanax at least once before you go. You wouldn't want to have an allergic reaction on the plane, also to know how it makes you feel.

I take Xanax "when needed" and the first few times I could hardly keep my eyes open about a half hour after I took it. Now I'm functional with it.

Hi Rapunzel, Yeah my doctor suggested I do a test run with the Xanax. She prescribed me a very low dose and said I could cut it in half or take up to 2 depending on how it affected me. I tried 1 and it didn't make me sleepy but just that feeling like you've had one wine cooler, a relaxed feeling. I don't think I'd want to take 2 cause I do want to be awake and enjoy the flight once I'm up there;)

Ahhhhh I see why I'm so excited. We have two countdown clocks here at home. One on the computer and one on the stove that both countdown with days, hours, and minutes. They both read 28:18:3:43. So we have 28 days, 18 hours, 3 minutes, 43 seconds :) So in my mind, I'm at 28 days, NOT 29! lol

Technically ours is like in 28 days before we leave too, cause we will be leaving around or before midnight on the 27th;)

I also just got an email from Debbi at the Coral Reef that she received my photos alright:thumbsup2

Can't wait!!!

Sounds like we're right around the same timing then, Mickey_Lynne! :) We'll probably be leaving here around 5am or 6am for St Louis.

Did you hear about the games and night time movies they show at ASMu? That should be fun. Joe and I will try to catch a movie there at somepoint.

Glad Debbi got your pics! I bet you can't wait! :)

Hi Sandy,

No, I did not hear about the games and night time movies at ASMu. Were did you read/hear about that? It sounds cool.

Where are you going your first day you get there? My plans are to start in the Animal Kingdom since it is smaller and doesn't take as much time to go thru and then to hit MGM later that night as we have dinner reservations at Mama Melrose's that first night and to watch Fantasmic!

Lemme see what I can find about the games and movies by the pool. It's mostly been chatter here on the Dis but I'll see if I can find something more official.

We arrive on Disney property on 9/29 and will do our first night tradition by going to ESPN Club and Jellyroll's and Atlantic dance. The next day we have the House Of Blues brunch and then our photo session at the Grand Floridian and then Chef Mickey's Dinner. We won't hit our first park til 10/1 which is when we'll go to MGM. Can't WAIT for Fantasmic!!!!

Here's a recent review of ASMu from AllEars:

The lifeguards at Music were also a treat. We were treated to fun activities and games in the afternoons and movies by the pool in the evenings. This is new as we didn't have this at the other resorts. I'm not sure if it is a new thing to all resorts, or if it is just music doing this. We got an activity schedule every three days with a list of what will take place. Name that tune, musical 'spots', bingo, and what movies were playing... disney of course... little mermaid, cars, pirates...

I'll see if I can find anything else...
