Wow alot has changed since my last post. We might have to cancel our trip. Everything in our house is falling apart at the same time, my oven isn't working properly, two of our tv's and now it's my A/C it needs a new condenser. How can I spend the money on a vacation when so much needs to be repaired. I'm feeling very guilty right now because what i've spent on the trip could more than pay for everything. I'm not sure what we will end up doing i'm just so upset I had to post about it. Thanks for listening!

Oh no-that's terrible!. I really, really hope you don't need to cancel your trip. Any chance if it comes down to it you could just postpone it a month or something? Ugh. When it rains, it pours, doesn't it.

I hate to hear that things are falling apart at home the same thing is happening to one of my friends, everyday something falls apart I hope it all works out in the end

7 weeks!!!!!!! That's all we have left, you guys!

My birthday is next Friday. And then there'll be 6 weeks!!!!!!!!

We just added the Concourse Steakhouse breakfast for the morning of 10/2. The steak and eggs sounded too good to pass up.

Thanks! DH is trying to convice me that we shouldn't cancel the trip and just take care of one thing at a time and eventually it will all be taken care of. It does make sence especially since our vacation is already paid for. But i'm still feeling guilty.

The fact that it's paid for is like OK, just relax, relate, release (3 RRR's) and don't let that guilty put a damper on your trip.

Happy Sunday!

Joe and I stayed up last night until a little after 11 talking about our trip. When we had originally booked it, I was at my old job. Well a month ago I accepted the position at the doggy daycare and took a significant paycut. We're paying this trip with cash and as we continue to add things (like the concourse breakfast, chef mickey's, etc) we forget that I'm not making the same kind of money! lol!! So, we're just thinking about modifying some things but not too much.

Gee Whiz I haven't been around for about a week and things are falling to pieces. My heart goes out to those involved in the bridge incident and I'm sooooo glad that you and your family are all safe Sandy! ((((Sandy)))) Also, I'm sorry to hear about the financial troubles you are experiencing Skippy. I hope you will be able to enjoy your trip!

On the upside, yes we are now in August so I can't believe it is next month!!!

Hi Linda!

Thank you for your well wishes. The city is slowly returning to normal. It's still surreal. Joe's company's parking lot is being used as a command center so he's got the FBI, fire marshalls, national guard, along with helicopters all over the place. George (Bush) was here yesterday and it's a little weird how he came such a short amount of time after the tragedy but it took him forever to get to Louisianna. Ah well-guess that's a whole 'nother topic.

My countdown here at home says 52 days!!! Can't believe we'll be in the 40's soon. Then the 30's, then the 20's, then holy crap the teens! lol

Skippy, I can relate. We had a Disney cruise planned for this past Feb. I was sooo excited. Had never even cruised before. However, last fall we started home renovations, got involved with an AWFUL contractor, basically a crook IMO , and had to hire someone else to fix the absolute mess this guy made of our house. So needless to say the project cost WAAAY more than it was supposed and we had to make the decision to cancel the cruise while we could still get our deposit back. It was a big disappointment . But our trip was not paid for at the time. If your trip is already paid, you might as well go and enjoy yourself. Because it seems like something always comes up. I still wonder if should've just gone on the cruise, but I think we made the right decision. Anyway, we are now heading down to WDW in 3 weeks with the free dining, staying at Sports. Much cheaper than the cruise and we are all (me, DH, and 2 DS's) very happy to be able to go.

Thanks everyone!!! We are going to keep the trip, since it is all paid for. I am still very excited about it and was totally crushed at the thought of cancelling it. Because I deserve a vacation, as we all do and sometimes when you are away from a situation for a while it looks better when you return. Atleast thats my hope!

So i'm back to not believeing how close it finally is!

Actually, I don't think they're sent out until 20-30 days prior to arrival so don't worry quite yet-we haven't gotten ours either.
