Hi! I'm new around the Disboard site, but so far I've read the posts and gotten great advice! My wedding is January 17 and I'm starting to get all the last minute stuff together - do any of you know how I can get my dressed steamed? I'm staying at the GF the night before my wedding - does the hotel have a steamer? Or did any of you use the dress shop that Disney suggests to steam your dress for you? Thanks for your help!

Hi There,
Congrats on your upcoming wedding. I got married at WDW 3 weeks ago. It was perfect. I used Carolyn Allen's to steam my gown. They were great. Before we left for the trip I had asked my sisters, my mom and my girlfriend if they wanted to use them because I had to give them a head count of how many will need steaming and none of them at the time wanted to use them. It was only $15.00 per dress but they figured they could just do it themselves with an iron. But the morning of the wedding was so hectic that instead of just doing my gown, veil and gloves. The streamer also squeezed in 4 other dresses. She was great. My gown was $85.00 before tax and I tipped her $10.00. And each of my girls dresses were $15 before tax and they also gave her something for being so accomodating. I highly recommend Caroyln Allens. Best of luck on your big day :)

I would highly recommend Carolyn Allens, she was so nice and did such a wonderful job on my dress. I had my dress shipped down to her before my wedding because I didn't want to take it on the plane. They called me the minute it got down there and reassured me that it was fine. She brought it to my room on my wedding day (along with my crinoline) and steamed it in about 15 minutes. We also got our tuxes through them as they come and pick them back up from your resort after the wedding so you don't have to take time out of your vacation to run around Orlando returning everything.

I give her 5 stars ***** :)

Congrats on your wedding, I bet your really getting excited :hyper:

I also have to go with Carolyn Allen's as they did my bridal attire as well. Along with tuxedo rentals. It was infact nice that it was done right in my room and right before I got dress so there was no worrying on if it would get wrinkled. Also to just leave the tuxes as the front desk for pick up, oh you just cant be that.

I'm getting married on Monday and am using Carolyn Allen's. I do believe they are the only place that will come and steam wedding attire.

Congrats soontobehoyt!!!!! I am so excited for you. Please post about your wedding expierence when you get back. I love hearing how the day has gone for Disney Brides. It brings a smile to my face.:)
