WOOHOOO:Pinkbounc :bounce:
can't believe we go on our FIRST trip in 25 days ::yes:: :hyper:

we will be eating only one MAIN meal at the park, I have the Q&C vouchers.

what is the best place/value for 3 adults and 3 kids at EACH park ??

I know that we will be able to use the vouchers for 2 of us, probably me and 1 DS, and mammaw and another DS, then daddy & oldest DS will have their own vouchers.

Thanks for the help :)

Depending on how big of eaters your boys are, I might add another voucher just in case. The only time we share the Q & C vouchers are when we can do a double cheeseburger and there is a fixings bar in MK such as Cosmic Rays or at Pecos Bill's. With the extra fixins- this is great.
In AK we love the BBQ place. The food is always great there and it smells wonderful.
In Epcot- there are many options but we always use our VK lunch vouchers here just because there are so many great place to choose from. Last time we went though- we shared a Q & C at the Moroccean place (sorry about the spelling) and it really wasn't enough food for DD and I. I am not a dessert eater and it is hard to reason with a child that she probably doesn't need 1/2 of the meal when she will eat all the dessert herself! I am not sure I would do this again at that particular place.
In MGM- I am not crazy about the fast food places. We have eaten at ABC and it was not someplace we enjoyed, so this is where we usually splurge and do the VK lunch vouchers and ALWAY eat at 50's Prime Time.
We alway try and make our stays at WDW different by staying and eating at different places in the world but Prime Time is an exception. Our favorite and wouldn't miss it on any trip!
I would suggest going in and looking around at what people are eating to see portion size too.
If you want a cool place to eat outside of the parks- be sure to make it to Beaches & Creme to use the vouchers. Great deal!

I find the places that serve the 1/2 chicken (roasted or BBQ) are usually enough for 2 if one eats white meat and the other dark. At Cosmic Rays in MK it comes with mashed potatoes. At the Flame Tree BBQ in AK it comes with beans and corn. I also like to use the vouchers in Epcot at the different countries. We like to order the sampler plates. That way each person gets to choose which parts of the meal he likes best. I haven't found a place in MGM that I like either. We usually jump over to Beaches and Cream to eat on those days.

Also if you're sharing, I find it's better to get an extra plate and split the meal. That way if one person is getting the whole dessert but less of the rest of the meal, it looks more even on 2 plates.

We leave in 22 days!!! I want to use the VKL vouchers at MGM as we have never found counter serve there that we liked either. DD really wants to get one of the drinks with the "electric" ice cubes (Stitch drink at 50's) has anyone been able to get this with a voucher?
We used a voucher last year at Cosmic Ray's but the mashed pototoes had the skin left on them on DD wouldn't eat them and the chicken was very greasy, so we thought we'd skip there.
We really liked the 1/2 chicken at Epcot (Morocco/Tangerine Cafe) it came with rice and another side so DD and I split that).
We love the desert at Beaches & Cream and usually go there, but the last two times we had waitresses with real attitudes! DH said maybe they think they are not getting tipped with the vouchers, because as soon as they saw them they acted really put out.

some good places to use these vouchers are Beaches & Cream, Yakitori House in Epcot (Japanese food-you can get an order of the sushi type rolls as the side), Pepper Market (CS food court-lots of food, great deserts), and believe it or not, the All Star food courts, because the Mickey Sundae alone is 4.99.
With regard to the VKL vouchers, I find that RFC in AK is the best place to use them- lots of food, ability to eat during dinner hours, and I have heard of the children's VKL being applied to the adult menu.

Have an AMAZING trip!!!!!

As far as RFC at AK (one of the few places that you can eat dinner with the Q&C that also takes reservations)...yes, you might want to make reservations...but we have had minimal waits there (in off season) just showing up. However, when we did that our plans were flexible so if it hadn't worked we would just have eaten somewhere else.

We just got back yesterday. I had bought 10 Q&C's and here is where we used them:

Beaches and Cream-used 3 (me, my DH and my sister)

Double cheeseburger 8.99 plus .40 for cheese =9.39
Large Diet coke w/cherry 2.29
order of fries 1.79
Mudslide 7.99

Total $21.46 plus tax= $23.82 SAVED $12.32

Totally delicious burgers!!!!!!!!!

Roast Beef Sandwich w/cheese 8.99
Fries 1.79
Frozen Sunshine 4.99
Total w/tax=$17.50 SAVED $6.00

My sister did not get the concept of saving lots of money and opted to get the hotdog for 5.99 with fries for $1.79 and a drink for 2.29 plus a mudslide for $7.99, but still saved about $8.

They also no longer have the 10.99 prime rib sub.

Another great value was at the Pepper Market which DH and I did twice.

The first time I had the Fajitas for 11.95, but it included a side of rice and beans, I opted for rice only and they gave me a huge bowl, plus the fajitas are a good portion, you get 3 tortillas and tons of filling, I got the chicken ones and it was great quality.
I also got a large diet for 2.29 and a piece of german choclate cake that was $4.00.

On Monday we went there and I got the Roast of the Day at market price, which was delicious prime rib, with a baked potato and roasted veggies for $18.95, a piece of cake for $4.00 and a large diet for 2.29.

The Pepper Market is an excellent place to use the vouchers and the food quality is also excellent. I highly suggest using them there. I will post pictures of the food tomorrow. My husband ordered a chicken calzone for $8.99, a side of fries for $2.50 and a large drink for $2.29 and cake for dessert for $4.

The nice thing about the PM is that when you order a drink you get free refills, our waitress, Norma was great and kept bringing us drinks. This is not your typical food court. It is now one of our favorites. Make a point to use your vouchers here at least once. They also have kids meals for like $4.25, chicken fingers, pastas and pizza that include a cookie and chips. Worth the trip.

We used one at the AK as well at the Flame Tree BBQ. I got a fruit salad which was HUGE, it had pineapple, oranges, melons, water melon and grapes....it was more of a fruit plate than a salad and is easily shared. It is $7.49, then I got a $2.29 pop, a basket of fries for $3.49 and a piece of chocolate cake for $2.79. We didn't save much, but I wanted to use a voucher. This was supposed to be a light snack because we were going to the H&V buffet that night, so we all shared the items we bought at FT.

thanks everyone :)

my only thing is, if we want to go to Beaches and Cream, say from Epcot, how do we know how to get there??? LOL

or Pepper Market from MG??

since its our first time, should we just stick with restaurants in the parks??

Oh my gosh! My husband is going to cry. He had that sub three (or four) times on our last vacation!:(

Q&Cs do NOT work at the RFC. VKL vouchers work at the RFC for lunch and dinner - and lunch at a lot of sit down places. Watch the VKL vouchers, they list a few restaurants that are not actually open currently for lunch.

Q&Cs work at counter service restaurants (and Beaches and Cream which isn't really counter service). To the best of my knowledge, none of the places a Q&C will work will take a PS (i.e. allow you to prebook).

EPCOT to B&C:
Exit at the International Gateway (between Great Britain & France). Take the water taxi (10 to 20 minutes, depending on wait time) or walk to the Yacht & Beach Club (about 6 minutes). B&C is located in the Beach Club.

MGM to the Pepper Market:
Take a bus to Coronado Springs Resort. Get off at Bus Stop #1 (the main building). Going there from MGM will take about 13 minutes on the bus. Add another 5-10 minutes waiting time for the bus.

Thank you for the directions. I would like to eat at those places too but, didn't know how to get there. Looking forward the B & C.

Wow, I was thinking I wouldn't bother with the vouchers, but after reading this thread, I'd love to take the kids to Beaches and Cream and let them order the expensive sundaes and not worry about the cost! Now you've made me hungry!

GREAT!! thanks a bunch!!! :)

how about the other parks :teeth:
which is the closest to B&C & pepper Market??

and if we go to those restaurants on 2 days (from whichever park is the closest) whats the best place for the other 2 parks?

I know, lots of questions, but I TRULY appreciate the help ::yes::

hubby & I used one in morroco( TC) and split a chicken and lamb schawarma platter( tabbouleh, 2 decent servings of meat, couscous, bread, hummus plus another side which my husband for some odd reason got more tabbouleh(???what was he thinking, it's not lke we are tabbouleh fanatics or something.... send a man..._:rolleyes: ), dessert ( which i forget what it was now ) and a drink...we were stuffed!

beaches we split the steak sub( no longer on the menu) fries/Or( waitress gave us a few of each since we couldn't decide ) and a kind of blaah banana split( once again hubby's idea, I would have gotten the noway jose but i gotta let him have his way or he'll cry:) )

pepper market he forgot one voucher in the room( our last night too:rolleyes:   ) so he got the steak dinner, dessert and drink while i got the cheaper stir fry special ( hey that should have been the other way around since he forgot the voucher now shouldn't it)

pop cent i got the shrimp lo mein, salad, twinke tiramisu and diet coke( ha like that would help) he got double cheeseburger, fries, either chili or salad, don't remember which but since the chili is worse for you probably that, twinkie t. and regular coke ( 2 vouchers)

all were good deals/good food imo, but the moral of the story is don't let the hubby "help" !!:teeth:

Of course I meant to say, "...one of the few places you can eat dinner with the VKL ...

furthermore...all of the restaurants that accept the VKL voucher also do take reservations.

*sigh* ...mama said there'd be days like this, oh yeah, my mama said...
