So I downloaded the widget countdown from DVC and it tells me I got 182 days to plan!! (really 184 I am hoping waitlist will come through!)

That is not nearly enough time for a planner...I have issued a RED ALERT to my boys and need help!! Where to EAT??!!

DH just told me about the Corando Springs food court....according to John and Kevin. :lmao: :lmao: (I am tearing up - DH just quoted Kevin and John)

First question....
Dining Plan yes or no?!

Fave places to eat?!

I am anti-DDP...to much work IMHO, but favorite places to eat?! Oh Yeah!

Brown Derby!!!! :cool1:
(I'd kill for a Cobb salad and piece of grapefruit cake right about now)

Kona Cafe for breakfast ... Tonga Toast! YUMMY!

The Plaza at MK. (good Ruebens!)

I also love the Market Place at the BC.

My 3 favorites are:

Chefs de France - Beef filet, scallop potatoes, green beans, creme brulee

Boma - mmmmmmm love the choices, esp the soups and desserts

Crystal Palace - gotta have some Pooh and Tigger and the food is good too!!

Oh Thank You!! Brown Derby -- have to do it...never been there.
Why anti-DDP? I am not sure where I am on it. Just wanting info...

Chefs de France (yes)

Ok I am hungry...PBJ until then will be hard! Guess I could mix it up with Ramen noodles! ;)

I second the Brown Derby. It is a must do on all of my trips. Good food + attentive service = great meal.

The Primetime Cafe might be fun for the kids. I love the PB&J shakes. :lovestruc

NEVER been to the Brown Derby?!?!? OMG! Soooooooooooooooo GOOD!

As for being anti-DDP, I don't know, mostly because I don't want to be worrying about getting my money's worth (I'm one of those types, I'd have to use ALL my points) and figuring out the points and
what you can use where and all that. Some days we just don't feel like big sit down meals. I make ADR's, but I like being able to just cancel them if we don't feel like going or whatever. I think it's too much hassle, but that's just me.

I hope you get your waitlist fulfilled Kim. What are your dates? I think we'll be there at the same time. My waitlist just came in for SSR. All DVC studios were sold out on Disney property from Dec 9th - 12th, but my waitlist just came in.

:thumbsup2 Thanks! I appreciate that. We did it last time and I liked not having to worry about what the bill will be.

Count me in on the Brown Derby fans...
I took my obnoxiously "foodie" brother on a whim last visit due to Kevin and Pete's recommendations.
We stopped at the concierge in the Boardway at about 4 pm on our way to that park to ride the thrill rides...remembered the kudos for Brown Derby and the concierge got us the earliest available table for 8:30 pm. Even walking to the park, we were at the ToT before 5 and walked on three times in a row. Then on to RnR and rode that twice. I swear, it was only 6:15 and had no reason to hang around, except that we were really hungry.
So we went to the Brown Derby, were told that they couldn't possibly move up our ressie. So I said that regretably, they should cancel our 8 pm and that we would catch them next trip. Then the magic happened.
The older gentleman at the desk got a twinkle in his eye and we got some pixie dust. We were seated immediately and had a phenominal meal.
We had eaten at blue zoo the night before (his choice), and the Brown Derby blew the memory of that meal right out of our minds. Great food, great service, no pretense and a great value. Thank you DIS... I would never have looked within that park for a meal to impress Mr Gourmet.... but that shut him up for the rest of the week!

I vote for Brown Derby...I'll be there in 11 days!! Whoohooo
