I know this is a very technical question, but I think will have a big impact for those going to Disneyland on Jan 17, 2020 or shortly thereafter.
For those who buy 1,2 or 3 day passes online, they print out a sheet of paper with a barcode. Does anyone know if the barcode on the sheet of paper is the same barcode that will appear on the ticket that is printed out at the turnstile?
Reason I ask is because DD, BIL, and my brother are planning to hit Disneyland on the 17th for ROTR. DD, BIL and I have APs, but my brother does not. He's planning on buying a 3 day pass, which he prints out before first use, and then gets a paper Disneyland ticket first time he goes through the turnstile.
It would save valuable seconds trying to get a boarding pass if I could scan his barcode in while we're waiting outside the park. The alternative would be to scan it in after we're in , then try to get a boarding pass. However, we all know that sometimes the Disneyland App likes to "think" for a while on certain operations....
