Online Resort Checkin Payment

I would like to pay for our remaining GCH room with Disney gift cards. Right now I am checking in online for my next weeks arrival. It’s asking me for a credit card for remaining payment. However, can I still pay with my Disney gift card upon arrival even if I complete the online check in? And then the credit card on file would just be for other room charges that come up?

I pay for my room with gift cards towards the end of my stay at the GCH and they take a credit card at check-in as back up. I am guessing they will not run your card but simply hold it until check-out. However, always good to check--you can call the GCH directly and they will answer that question for you.
