I made all our ADRs by phone 180 days out. We're now 85 days out and I'm re-thinking some of them. I always call to make reservations but thought I'd try the online system since I had time on my hands tonight.

I tried to change 3 of my 8 dinner reservations and could change NONE of them! Everything was booked from 4:30-8:30!

I know 85 days is cutting it close but am also wondering if I had called I'd find some flexibility in availability.

By no means Is this a crisis. The ressies I'd made were more than acceptable but I really wished I could change some.

I guess I could try concierge when we check in.

Any thoughts?

You can always try but I'm not surprised places are booked 85 days out. Just keep trying, you never know what will open up.

I'd keep checking the online system and would try the concierge when you check in ~ you never know what cancellations there might be between now and when you are going. Good luck!

I agree. Keep trying. I neglected to make ADRs before the last week or so. My trip starts 5/26 and I have managed to get all the harder reservations. The only one I have yet to see any opening for is 'Ohana.

This weekend especially - NO, it is not accurate!!

I'll save you the (two plus hours on the phone with Disney) drama and just say - after the online showing nothing available, the reservation agent on the phone was able to find a multitude of choices on the day in question, at the restaurant in question, for the meal in question.

So, while they work out the glitches they've been experiencing for the last few days - my answer is CALL!!!!

Good luck. We're 12 days out - and if we could get something as a party of 9, don't give up hope! Just call :thumbsup2

I did call this AM and was able to get two out of three of my requests!

The CM encouraged me to keep calling to get the third changed too and I will certainly try although it is not a soul-quest to get it done:)

In the end I guess one message is that their computer system is still wanting. For example,as a DVC member I will take a wait list now and then and generally my wait list will come through. An advanced capacity computerized dining system, well within Disney's ability, should be able to do this.

Maybe the better lesson is that a human intervention, (even with the help of computers) is still the best route.

In any event thanks for the advice.

You could also keep an eye on the cancelled ADR thread for the month you are there.

Concierge is always an option. People do cancel while they are there and especially if you can be a bit flexible, you have a fair chance of getting that other ressie you want by simply stopping by the front desk of your resort on your way to or from the parks. Hope you get it. :goodvibes
