I currently use SmugMug, but they have a photo size limit. I have a new camera and I am looking to move up to shooting RAW. I'm pretty sure the per photo size is going to exceed the limit at SmugMug. Is there a list of sites with there photo size limits?
TIA,
Kim
Hmmm, are you currently encountering problems with your SmugMug account because of these limits?
You are right in that SmugMug does impose a limit on photo sizes. However, the limit is
24 megabytes and
48 megapixels. (

I don't know about your photos, but using a Canon 7D, my full-sized JPEGs are about 10-15 megabytes and about 18 megapixels. SmugMug only displays JPEG photos. It does not display RAW photos. So, even though I shoot RAW, I have to convert all my photos to JPEG before uploading them to SmugMug.
In reality, I probably don't need my JPEG photos to be 10-15 megabytes in size. That's probably overkill. Using Jeffrey Friedl's Lightroom plugin for SmugMug (

C&B Young is correct about
SmugVault. You can purchase a SmugVault account for online storage of your files. You can actually store
any files in your SmugVault account: JPEGs, PDF documents, RAW files, Photoshop PSD files, etc. However, SmugVault doesn't actually display your RAW files for others to view. You'd have to specify that SmugVault create a JPEG preview of your file.
I'm not sure that there are any online storage services that allow you to upload RAW files
and display them for viewing. Of course, I haven't looked into this, so I could be dead wrong about this. But I have a feeling that most online photo storage Web sites work with JPEGs.
SmugMug's "limits" are pretty generous, especially for regular picture-taking folks with regular dSLRs.
btw, the file size limit for photos in
Flickr is
20 megabytes, if you have a Pro account. (

Zenfolio has a maximum file size of
24 megabytes for everyone, except for Premium Business subscribers, who get 48 megabytes. Their other maximum size is 100 megapixels (10,000 x 10,000 pixels = 100,000,000 pixels = 100 megapixels) (
