I did it. I probably talked to the people (2 of them) for ten minutes about my vacation habits. They sent me the goftcard and a thick picture/info book about dvc. I didn't feel any pressure to buy.

I've done it twice. The first time, the guy just took my information and sent me the gift card - he didn't even do the "tour." The second time the lady had me log onto a specific website and then talked me through some things about DVC.

I did it and it was an easy $25! It was even interesting. No pressure at all.

Last fall, I got an offer for a $50 gift card if I did a walk-through at the Disneyland office. That took a little bit longer but was also kind of fun, plus I got cookies and coffee

Thanks for everyone's responses. I just made the call and it went well. The DVC lady was extremely nice and the whole thing only took 15 minutes.
