Online checkin

We are arriving at BLT 2/7. Is the online checkin worth it. Will this realy help us out, or should we just show up at the checkin desk as usual.
 
We did it for our Dec. stay. When we got there at 12:00 pm, they did have two CM dealing with online check in and a line for everyone else. However, I have read that others have gone to check in and were kept in the same line.

I don't think it saved me that much time, but my room was ready. I did not get my request, but didn't even ask about it when she said the room was done as that was more important and we were only there for two days.
 
Several Cast Members have told me that Disney is using online check in to keep members from making requests at the front desk.

At BLT last month, we were told that room change requests weren't allowed.

At Kidani, same trip, we were told that once you open the door to your room, a change request would cost $75.

The policy seems to change depending on the resort and who you talk to.
