In the past, I have had trouble with online checkin with two back to back reservations. Sometimes, we would never get the room ready notifications. Other times, we couldn’t unlock the door to the room. There may have been other issues that I don’t recall!

Any recent experiences with inline checkin for consecutive reservations?

I had continuing reservations at BWV this past fall (same room type and view, just different UYs). I had informed MS and they noted it on my reservations. Everything went smoothly. I got a voicemail the morning of checkout/check-in that they had processed my request and there was no need to do anything else. We both checked our MBs while the other was still in the room to ensure that the door would unlock. And I still got separate folios for my room charges.

These are split stay reservations at different resorts. With continuing stays, I have not had issues.

Last month we had a split stay at BCV and Riviera. Everything worked smoothly at BCV but Riviera was a different story- MB would not work on the doors (we had to use key cards) and husband and daughter's band wouldn't work for charging items either. They couldn't figure out what happened and got the "we have too many magic bands" reason. It was an inconvenience that they did compensate for (without us asking) so we happily dealt with it. Talking to someone else at the pool- they had the same issue so wondering if it was specific to Riviera.

These issues sound like the ones we experienced in the past. It's always the second reservation that has the issues. I have been told it has something to do with not being completely checked out of the first resort that causes problems with the second resort.

I have always stopped at the front desk on split days because I never got the room ready text.

They simply checked me out of the first resort and into the second and no issues.

I read a recent report that someone did get the room ready recently so maybe it will be better this time!

Split stay coming to for my DD and her boyfriend..they are staying longer than I am..so we will see what happens for them.

I had all kinds of MB issues on our recent split stay. CCV was flawless. Then we went to BCV and only one MB worked. Stopped at front desk and reset everything and they just made matters worse. I just dealt with it. Last stop was AKV with a continued reservation in same room. First half was fine, but second half had same MB issues. AKV front desk was able to resolve issue. I guess it’s hit or miss.

Ugh! That's what I am hoping to avoid! I did online checkin for both reservations. Hoping for the best!

We're just back from a split stay, a studio for one night before a 2-bedroom for 6 nights at BWV. We did go down to the front desk, specifically to make sure we were completely checked out (and also to ask whether there was a chance our room would be ready early enough for us to transfer our luggage directly into the new room - it wasn't). We got a text saying our room wasn't ready yet, around the time I had set as arrival time when I checked in online, and then another text when our room was ready, and we didn't have any trouble opening the door with our MBs.

We have done back to back many times but on our November trip experienced the same issue with magic bands as both of you. The front desk actually told us the reservation was marked as "stacked" instead of continuing which is what created the issue (we were staying at BLT the whole time just under a separate reservations). Then our friends who stayed in December had this issue with magic bands. I am starting to think something changed in the member services system that is messing these up. They had to completely cancel our second reservation and rebook it at the front desk in order to get our magic bands to work. It was so odd! Never had to change rooms or anything so it wasn't an inconvenience aside from the 15-20 minutes at the front desk while they fixed it.
