Online checkin available now for Nov 1 …..why would I?

Is there any reason to do it now?

(I’ll be tent camping, moving into The Fort on Nov 1, tho arriving in the area a few days earlier… I have a specific area Im hoping to get & plan to fax a request shortly to the Fort.

Is there any reason to do it now?

Since the options have been reduced even more recently (can only indicate an arrival time after official check in time, not before), I'm not sure what the value is. Many of us arrive earlier and work with the check in CM to see what is available at that time and which loops (within what I reserved). I don't think I have been on the actual site I was assigned the last 4 or 5 trips. Either I didn't fit (despite indicating length on the reservation and by calling) or I didn't want to wait for my assigned site to become available.
