Online Check In

This is our third year being able to use the online check in and this morning when I went to do it, it seemed different. Everything was already put in, it had already plugged in my requests, the same as I had done last year. But this year for arrival time it said "magical express arrival" and wouldn't allow me to change it. Previous years we were able to plug in an actual time frame of when we would be there. Is this new? Has anyone checked in to the hotel after having that on their online check in page and their room be ready?! We have our California Grill reservation on arrival night and would like to be able to get ready in our room! But where we aren't able to tell them an arrival time in online check in, I'm getting nervous! Help please!

Yes. With latest "upgrade" done about 3 weeks ago you no longer specify an arrival time if you are taking the Magical Express. The resort knows your approximate arrival time from your Magical Express pickup at MCO.

Yup.

We have our California Grill reservation on arrival night and would like to be able to get ready in our room! But where we aren't able to tell them an arrival time in online check in, I'm getting nervous! Help please!

No need to be nervous, they will know when you are going to arrive.

Yeah - I usually check the box upper floor and when I did online check in this time that wasn't an option. I didn't have that request put in because I booked my resort online which basically forced me to do a phone call to request upper floor.

I wasn't too thrilled about that since I hate all the prompts nonsense on the phone.

I assumed that they'd know my Magical Express arrival time so I didn't worry about that when I saw that on the online check in.

They just changed the look and options for online check in a few weeks ago.

I am leaving on Thursday so I had already done online check in prior to the changes.

When I went in to double check that everything was correct it no longer at an exact arrival time just said Magical Express arrival.

So my guess is that if you are using DME they get your arrival time based off the flight info that was given for DME.

Don't be alarmed.
If you are eligible for direct to room check in they will send you the room number.

I don't like to enter my credit card info until checking in at the front desk and it won't save any of my other updates until I do. Very annoying! I guess I will have to call.
