We've never done this before and just wondered if there are any benefits of doing it. Obviously we need to collect our magic bands and we haven't booked a preferred room so is it worth it?

You can make 2 requests regarding room/building location
You can enter enter your arrival time (estimated) if you're arriving prior to legal chek in time and other things like a pin code for magic band charging

If you already have a magic band from a previous visit you xan enter a phone number or email adress. The resort will text you your room number a d you can proceed straight to the room

Finally it's free, hassle free, fast and easy and it may save you sime time at check in

And it gives something to do for the obsessive planner

Well worth doing it even if it's just for the feeling that the trip draws even closer

We've done trips with and without online check in and have concluded that the main advantage is saving time at the desk. Other than that there's little difference.
