Online Check In

I completed the online checkin for our trip next month. This will be our first time bypassing the desk. How has this worked out for everyone? I'm curious as to how often the rooms are actually ready. We land around 10 am so we should be at AKV by 11 am. Online checkin gave us the option of stating that the room being ready was top priority so hopefully that helps.

Keep in mind that online check in doesn't always mean bypassing the front desk. There is usually a separate line for online check in which can sometimes move a little faster than the regular line. Of all the times we've done online check in I've never received the text about the room. Others have so I guess just be prepared that it could go either way. Have a great trip!

Thank you! I did not realize that it did not mean bypassing the desk for everyone. I was simply thinking how nice it would be to receive the text and just go straight to the room.

I did online check in Feb/March trip and I got a text with a room number about ten minutes before I had said was my arrival time. I know the resort so knew my room was what I requested. My MB (old limited one I bought) worked at gate, I parked and went to room and unloaded. Headed to park. In a week I never went to the front desk. For me it worked AWESOME!!

Same experience here. I did online check in last month and I got a text saying my room was ready while I was still waiting in line for Magical Express at the airport. It was nice being able to stop by the room and clean up before I went to the park that afternoon. I plan on doing it again for my trip in September.
