Online check-in?

Has anyone had problems with on-line check in? How far in advance can you do it? could I do it the morning we leave?

We had a great experience with online check in. Disney sent me an email with the website and instructions. I dont remember if I went to do this online, put my resort reservation in and then got the email but I think so. You can only do it 1-2 weeks prior to your reservations. It did make the check-in process once we arrived much quicker as they have everything there waiting for you.

We did online check in and had no issues with it. When we got to the resort there is a separate area used for online check-in. They had a package premade for us. It was very quick and easy.

You can check in online 10 days before your arrival. I did it about a week before.

We did it in May and had a great experience. Our package was all ready to go when we got there which was great for us but our daughter was bummed she didn't get to watch cartons in the kids area for long.

So when you do online check-in do they assign you a certain room? And can you change at check-in if you don't like?
