Do you think if you check in online that it will bump your room up the priority list for mousekeeping?? Also, what happens if your not happy with the location of your room assignement....can it still be changed?

The only benefit to online checkin that has been acknowledged by Disney is that it will save you time at the resort check in since they will already have your credit card information.

DVC does not "change" your room assignment just because you don't like it. Any request for a particular location is a request and never guaranteed. Locations are sometimes booking categories such as Boardwalk view, Hospitality House etc and in those cases you will be placed in those categories of villas.

Sometimes you may be able to switch if they have another villa available, however, if you have already gone up to your room you will be charged a fee to do so.

Actually, it's possible that DVC MIGHT change your room assignment if you don't like the room. But in most cases, it's right that they won't. However, I was very fortunate at BCV once when they assigned me a room in a location that I knew had road noise. So I asked nicely if they had any woods view rooms available, and the CM immediately made a phone call, and I got a room I loved (I've even requested "a room with a view like-" on my next reservation. Watch me get the road noise one!) Who nows-maybe it was the dream squad at work.

They really haven't said how room assignments will go. From what I understand, you will list an approximate arrival time on the online check-in. They could still use the "room ready" system by processing your check-in shortly before that time. It would give you a slight advantage over people checking in at the front desk. Some resorts pre-assign rooms, so it will not have an effect there (my room has always been pre-assigned at BWV).
