Online check in

Hi all,

DH and myself really feel we should know the answer to this question as we have flown with Virgin every time, but don't.

When you do online check in, does it become available for you to do online exactly 24 hours before your flight or can you do it a bit before? Every other time we have done it we have logged on bang on the time of our flight, but have never tried it earlier and was wondering if any of you have tried it earlier. We are on the 12.45pm flight in just over a weeks time.

It's just we really want to leave and get on the road asap even though we are staying over the night before.

Any help would be very appreciated

I think i tried at work last year just before the 24 hours and it didn't work.

I don't think it can be done before exactly 24 hours preceding the flight, but there's one way to find out.
I'll be doing olci at 10.25 am next Sunday, can't wait. I'm hoping a few more seats open up because I'm undecided on the seats I've chosen (2 rows of 2 at the back) I don't know whether to go for a middle row towards the front but I've a feeling we'll have a much more comfortable flight at the back.
The only slight worry is being the last ones off the plane. Decisions , decisions.

Last year we did ours at 6.30pm on the day before out flight from our hotel lobby(which had a pc just for guest use), which wasn't until 13.30pm and we had no problems and we got through the airport in less than 10 minutes

hope all goes well with your check in, we are thinking of checking in the day before as we are staying at the airport the night before. we are going in just over a week too and are on the 1245 flight, we are going on the 29th april. we are all getting excited now!

Think we will just try a bit earlier and see what happens. DH just wants to get past the dreaded M25!

are you going on the 29th april too? its exciting talking to someone who would be on the same plane as us! Are you staying at a hotel the night before? makes the holiday start faster!

As far as I'm aware (as DH always does the online check in) it has to be exactly 24 hours before and it's not open until then. I know that he always checks in the 24hours before when he's flying for business.
