If I check in on the app I advance:
1) Are my park tickets, dining plan credits automatically active on my magicband when I get there? We also have memory maker. In other words can I go straight to the park on arrival day without having to stop at the hotel?
2) How do we get notified that our room is ready? Text? On the app? Or a phone call from front desk?
3) We are going to the hoop Dee doo for the first time ever. I understand we need vouchers for this. Can I just go to the front desk anytime before the show to get the vouchers or would I need to get them at check in on my first day?

1. Whether or not you check in in advance, your tickets and dining plan will be active and on your MB as long as they are in MDE. Yes you can go straight to the park.
2. You will get a text on your phone so make sure you have your phone number in your MDE account.
3. Not sure about this but the front desk won't be able to help you. I know for the luau they have your name on a list.

1) Yes!
2) Text! Last time I got it as soon as we got off the plane. We totally bypassed the front desk and used our magic bands to get in!
3) You check in at a desk at Hoop Dee Doo to get your show tickets. They will have your name on a list and you hand the tickets in when the doors open to Pioneer Hall and they seat you. Have fun!!! It's one of our favorites but we decided to skip it this trip.

HDDR tickets can be printed ahead at the Concierge Desk at your hotel. I thought we got them anytime after checkin in the past, but last trip they told me only 24 hours in advance. Have Fun!

Are you arriving by DME or driving? If you're driving I wouldn't keep luggage in a parked car. Some things wouldn't do well in the heat, toilettries, electronics, etc. I'd check in first and leave luggage with Bell service.

Arriving by car. A few years ago when we stayed at pop century, I left my car with all my luggage in the trunk at the check in parking area and we took the bus over to Epcot since the room wasn't ready. Didn't have any issues. This year I might just drive straight to AK and avoid stopping at resort at all until room is ready. Only electronics I'm bringing are cell phones so i think we'll be ok.

We always leave our bags in our car if we are staying value or moderate, we keep them with bell services at deluxe because the parking tends to be farther away and have never had a problem. Now we do have a cover in the car that we cover the bags up with but we don't travel with anything that might melt. During split stays, we have gone to a park first thing on the second stay then just gone back to the room whenever.

I'd worry about my cosmetics getting manky from the heat in the car and going off. Heat can ruin face creams etc. Once I had a lip balm in my purse melt. When I took it out to use it just came out in a glop all over the place thankfully it didn't get on my clothes. Florida in August !!

I don't wear makeup at Disney and my face creams haven't had any issues so far but I just might be lucky.
